WHY IS IT A SUITABLE LOCATION?

• The TV studio situated within Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) is very well suitable for the location as it is the second biggest green screen studio within Birmingham. The equipment used within the facility is all that of a professional studio. As there is also a green screen fitted with all lighting and cameras it can be used for many shots and can change the scenery of the final product once been edited where with outside shots you are only able to have one background picture. Correspondingly with it being situated in Birmingham city centre it is very easily accessible from majority of places within the UK.

WHEN IS THE FACILITY AVAILABLE?

• The facility is available all year round for the majority of the year, to book to use the facility you have to phone up the academy and ask to speak to the TV studio technician (Craig). Where an appointment can be made.

POWER SOURCES

• Within the whole studio there are 8 plug sockets which are standard voltage for a building, this is fine as the equipment that would need to be plugged into these require that amount of voltage (camera chargers etc.)

LIGHTING ISSUES AT THE LOCATION

• In the TV studio the room is completely blacked out if needed as there is no natural light coming into the room, walls are all breeze blocks and painted black, as with the doors in there are also solid wood and painted black. This is beneficial as you have full control of the intensity of light.

• All of the lighting is already built in to the room on the lighting rigs, this is of a professional standard as the lighting is put in place via professioanls.
