How did you attract/address your audience?

When searching for my audience I made a survey to find out who I should be aiming my magazine at.

From this, you can see that the ages ranged from 12-20+

And from here you can see that the majority of those who answered were female.

0 I asked the question of what sort of words would you associate Britpop with and some of the answers ranged from things like:

Did they like this genre?

0After asking people whether or not they liked this genre, the results were that 75% said yes and 25% said no or they weren’t sure.

0 I handed a copy of my first draft round a group of people who were between the ages of 30 and 40, however it didn’t seem to appeal to them as they thought it was too ‘young’.

0 I then repeated this with a circle of teenagers aged 15-18 and it had a different effect. They liked the use of the Union Jack and the fact that the band was made up of similar aged people.

THEREFORE…

0 I decided to create my magazine based on the idea that my target audience would be teenagers ranging from the ages of 16 and 20+.
