QUESTION 2

By Sereena Lewis

Page 2: Question 2

Here are the three fonts that were used

I my production. Two of the fonts are

the same but the one for my film

review was put in bold as I wanted it to

stand out more because there was a

lot of writing on the page. Whereas the

font I used on my poster didn’t have to

stand out as much but did as there was

hardly any writing on it. The Font used

on the actual title sequence was

completely different. We made a house

surrounding the ‘H’ on House 42 this

made it very different to other films

around.

Page 3: Question 2

The Fonts that were used in

my film review were simple.

This allowed the audience to

clearly read everything on

the page.

All the important information was either in bold or a Red colour to

symbolise its importance .

Page 4: Question 2

In keeping with the theme from my film

review all the important information is in

red such as the date and the age rating.

The actors names are clearly presented in bold at the top of the poster in white. Also the name of the Film is in white too .

Page 5: Question 2

The colour theme red white

and black ran through both

ancillary tasks and the main

production.

The red connotes danger

throughout and the white

connotes the innocents of

the two main characters of

the film.

The darkness symbolised

‘The Presence’ coming from

the darkness into the house.

Page 6: Question 2

The whole colour scheme

works very well and is

effective the whole way

through the production

Page 7: Question 2

This image was used in my film review. It

shows the main characters and the

antagonist.

The Antagonists make up consists of white

face paint and food colouring for the red on

her face and the red stains on her nighty.

Although white connotes innocents, it

challenges that symbol, but also shows that

‘The presence once was this innocent

character until she fell at the hand of evil.

The two main characters are wearing some

sort of blue which connotes sadness and

scared. This matches their emotion at the

present time. It fitted perfectly with my film

review as it broke up the black white and

red theme that was occurring.

Page 8: Question 2

This image was on my poster. I think

it was effective in showing the

Antagonist as it automatically

makes you wonder what they have

done. It shows ‘The presence’

breaking through the darkness,

showing that not even the dark is

strong enough to keep ‘The

presence at bay’.

A good thing about this image is

that it doesn’t show the whole of the

character, only half, this adds a

theme of mystery which could make

someone want to see the whole film.

OVERALL

Throughout my ancillary tasks and main task, the

genre has been present. From the use of dark

colours such as black adding the scary, mysterious

feel to it and the use of red signifying danger and

blood. Also the use of pictures connoted the element

of fear. The film itself included all of these elements.
