-To involve learners in using the language of comparison in a new context.
- To encourage learners to “play the role “ of the reporter journalist and translator using research and interview.
-To integrate speaking and writing with reading.
- To promote cross – curriculum work .( with Home Economics, ICT).
Step 1: To divide the class into smaller groups
Step 2: To decide about the topic we are going to work on and analyze it .
Step 3: To find Information on the net ,Library , Home Economics book and to interview local people

That’s why 1.Growing rice is Cheaper than growing corn .
2.Growing corn is easier than growing rice
The best season to sow a field with corn or rice is spring. April for corn and May for rice.
Rice is a source of carbohydrate whereas corn is a rich source of vitamins A , B , E. of minerals and fibre. Moreover , corn can help us prevent health problems such as digestive problems
Therefore :1. Corn is more nutritious than rice and
2. Rice doesn’t help us so much as corn with health problems
Rice is at the bottom of the food pyramid because it belongs to the cereal family
But
1 Corn is one step higher than rice in the food pyramid : because it belongs to the family of vegetables
2 Both corn and rice are in more important positions in the food pyramid than other kinds of food

The agronomist Ms Hatzisava : “Nowadays the pesticides and fertilizers which the farmers of our area use are more drastic than 20 years ago . That is, a very large number of acres need much smaller quantity of non organic fertilizers and pesticides than in the past . Most farmers don’t use organic fertilizers and Pesticides because they are more expensive than the non – organic ones . However ,
they agree that the organic crops are the healthiest and most delicious of all crops .
