A model for practical training and enabling
What is it?
• A hands-on training and enabling session • Topics are not pre-planned • Mix of officers attend • Rolls theory directly in to practice
How does it work?
• Regular meeting on design issues • Held in-house • Live projects brought along • Round-table discussion of problems and solutions
What are the advantages?
• Project and officer receives design advice • All attendees learn about the issue – might be relevant to them in the future • Encourages discussion between officers • Impacts on design quality on the ground
