Layout

The layout of this local magazine is very typical. One main image accompanied with a headline, a story or article and some other info on certain topics. The layout if very effective because it encourages the reader to glance at everything on the page

FontThe font used doesn’t really differ from other local newspapers. The font size for the headline is large to catch the readers eye and grab their attention.

The larger the text size the more effect it will have on the reader.

Style is very similar also, standard which makes it clear and easy to understand for the reader.

ColourA range of colours have been used yellow, blue, green etc. These vibrant colours gain the readers attention and keeps their interest into reading the articles and other info on the page These vibrant colours are unusual for a local newspaper, but they are very successful at enticing the reader.

The majority have black and white as their main colours. This colour scheme tends to bore the reader, especially amongst

ImagesLike most local newspapers, there is one main image on the front page relating to a story which is usually beneath it.

Although with the Peterborough Telegraph this is not the case. The image is the central focal point. The reader looks at the image first because of the large size and bright colours within the picture. It also encourages the reader to look elsewhere on the page.
