MVTS II: Routing

• Routing table with 40+ routing parameters: ASR, QoS, ACD, PDD, LATA/OCN, SLA and more

• Number portability (LNP), ENUM: LNP dipping via XML, LNP cash storage

• Jurisdictional routing (for North American region):

– MVTS II imports and stores the up-to-date LERG database with NPA, NXX, OCN, LATA, and state codes

– MVTS II allows user to set different prices for the same route depending on its state or LATA jurisdiction types, as well as to restrict particular jurisdiction types for routing

– MVTS II allows user to set prices for LATA, OCN, state or LATA+OCN combinations

• Real-time profit protection, monitoring, and control

• SIP Proxy in 2012

MVTS II offers a unique profitability protection feature

MVTS II routing is more than just ordinary LCR (when traffic routes are selected by lower cost) -> MVTS II offers real-time special profitability control by allowing to route traffic in whichever way that brings more revenue to the carrier.

•MVTS II creates a mixture of routes in order to fulfill volume commitments and ensure maximum profitability

•MVTS II collects route data and in case of change in any attribute of the route it changes the route automatically

MVTS II is both financially and technically beneficial

MVTS II: Billing Highlights

• Real-time pre-/post paid billing

• Profitability monitoring: notifying customers of low funds on their account, automatic blocking in case of insufficient funds, etc.

• Integration with automated currency rates downloads

• Support of additional MRC/NRC

• Support regular/one time extra fee/charge such as rent

• Support of customer and vendor rate lists and discounts (one-time, regular)

• Pre-scheduled or manual invoice generation• CDR re-rating for rectifying errors caused by rate change• Accounts/rates/CDR import/export capabilities

Traffic Manager is the core element of the system and the central point of business operation logic

• Route profitability monitoring and control

• The carrier can choose the traffic route that would bring more profit

• If route quality falls below a certain point, the route can be blocked to guarantee SLA parameters to end-clients

• Invoicing can be both manual and automatic; daily account notifications to customers

• Powerful Oracle database enables import and export of data and configuration updates without interruption of service. Data safety is ensured by database replications

• Number portability

• Jurisdictional routing support for establishing peer to peer connection to avoid additional charges

• Flexible reporting allows generating up-to-date reports thus controlling transit quality

• Data Warehouse to run resource-intensive procedures in a dedicated database to insure high performance under heavy traffic loads

Provides a single entry point into a VoIP network, distributes traffic between processing modules, and handles registrations

• Single entry point for interconnection with peering partners

• Centralized load distribution for easy and enhanced scalability

• SIP/H.323 Registration Requests processing

• Comes with a redundancy function to ensure business-critical network reliability

Signaling proxy• Support of SIP and H.323• Two-way H.323/SIP translation• Protocol normalization to ensure

interworking between protocol versions and dialects

• Fax T.38 passthrough• Correct disconnect codes generation

even in case of proxy failure

Media proxy• Full proxy and signaling proxy only

operationRTP-proxy can be disabled to increase the system’s throughput capability

• Codec transcoding • DTMF support (RFC 2833)

Controls nodes, performs license distribution, keeps record of the system performance and ensures its survivability

• Automated distribution of licenses If one of the system elements fails, the licenses of this element are automatically distributed between stable elements (according to a set of rules predefined by the carrier)

• Advanced notification mechanismKeeps the system operator aware if something goes wrong with the system nodes. The operator can then configure actions to resolve the situation.

• SNMP ServerA special module in an SNMP server is implemented to allow monitoring different aspects of MVTS II activity by SNMP

Enhanced system capacity takes the concurrent calls (CC) rate

to 150 000, thus bringing the

calls per second (CPS) rate to 3 500

These rates can be further increased as the system is easily scalable and can be clustered of multiple nodes.

Increase in system capacity depends on the increase of processor cores’ number as well as the access rate of HDD.

Ability to allocate individual partitions of the system to offer “hosted softswitch” services

• Providing a dedicated IP-address for each hosted customer

• Creating a VoIP exchange service due to the system’s capability of processing anonymous transactions between hosted customers without preliminary negotiations

• A set of predefined user roles facilitates creation of new partitions:

- Super administrator - Administrator - Equipment manager - DP and RP manager - Accounting manager - Reporter - New role creation tool

• Intuitive charts provide visualization of key route characteristics including large amounts of statistical data:

• Traffic dynamics (ASR, ACD, PDD, etc.) & daily fluctuations to predict future load• Route traffic, GW/route capacity utilization, etc.

• Automatic/manual/pre-scheduled reports generation:• ASR/ACD/PDD by vendor/customer/route• Active/failed calls• Profit by vendor/customer/route • Pre-reporting procedure for fast reports and invoice generation

• Real-time alerts help control operation performance and profitability• Rate plan unprofitable alert• Low profit alert• Routing path restriction alert• Call looping alert etc.

• Real-time notifications alerting customers of• low balance, disabled account, etc.
