Description of Project:Helix replaced the majority of the main reinforcement for all the raft slabs for this boutique multi-level residential development for one of Melbourne’s leading Tier 1 builders. At a dosage of 9kg/m3, Helix Micro-Rebar replaced the reinforcement for all the 150mm thick raft slabs, including the edge beams and internal beams. A variety of post-tensioned slabs ties in to the raft slabs and, within days of a pour, precast panels and columns were able to be installed.


Description of Project:For the builder, the cost savings for the delivery and placement of the mesh and rebar reinforcement was of secondary importance. The real benefit is in the time savings afforded by replacing the reinforcement with Helix Micro-Rebar. This translates into earlier project delivery and the compound savings in on-costs such as Payroll Taxes, Over Time, Leave Loading, and all associated labour costs. Description of Project:In all, 1,200m3 or nearly 8,000m2 of concrete was poured with Helix Micro-Rebar as the advanced reinforcement solution. The concreters loved the ease of working with the concrete with Helix dosed into it and the concrete pump operator had no issues with delivery.One of the main factors for choosing Helix Micro-Rebar was that the client had the flexibility of ordering concrete on short notice. This often expedited the construction process by a matter of days.
