TASK 1A GENRE/MAGAZINE WHICH APPEALS TO TEENAGERS (AGE 11-18)

A genre which appeals to teenagers aged between 11-18 is comedy. I think comedy has targeted these ages and these are the ages which visit the cinema’s most regularly bringing in a bigger profit for the movie. Teenagers like to watch comedy for various reasons such as being entertained, relaxing to watch, can be watched with family and friends, a great way to kill boredom and put’s you in a good/happy mood. It’s a form of escapism in a positive way, a lot of young people are stressed now day and these types of movies are a good way to escape from reality and the contents within these movies are usually easy to understand and have a simple storyline to follow. Expect to laugh a lot and hear a lot of jokes within a comedy movie.

It’s not only sports it could be a form of art, drama, future musician and more. If you have a talent and you’ve bee recognised within the school and within your community you could get a mention.

The name for my Harris podcast is called:HARRIS ELITE’SAnd the logo is as displayed to the right.I chose the name Harris Elites as Harris is the theme of my podcast therefore is logical to mention it within the title. I also chose Elites as the people who put this podcast together and the audience who this podcast is aim at are simply the best there is and are superior to those who have not witnessed the magnificence within the podcast.

I chose this logo as to make no mistake what Harris this podcast originates from I added the original HCACP school badge, I then added the word elite and 5 stars underneath to show that our podcast is the best of the best and we’re truly elite.

In the Harris Elites poster I made sure it was visual, easy to read and eye-catching. I made sure to make the logo the centre of the poster and all around the poster are words describing the podcast. For the youth, by the youth and because of the youth is the motto of Harris Elites therefore needed to be mentioned, ‘For the youth, By the youth and Because of the youth’ is motto because the whole podcast is done by students from the school for students of Harris therefore it’s because of the youth this podcast has been created in the first place.I tried to make sure the colours were different so when you look at the poster you will see a vibrant display, as theirs not much writing you won’t be hesitant to read what’s on the poster which will also entice the audience and reader to tune in and listen to Harris Elites. I made sure instead of saying the specific date it said coming soon as people always especially if it looks advertising will build up excitement and give people something to look forward too. The pictures around the poster are all related to the words scattered around and the radio podcast itself giving you a visual incite on what the radio podcast is about.
