Place the SELF-ADHESIVE Switchable Privacy Film in a safe clean table.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 2222

Make sure the CLING surface is facing up.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 3333

Spray the glass with LIQUID glass polish and use a window scraper or blade to remove any dirt orblemishes from the glass surface.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 4444

Spray the glass with LIQUID glass polish and clean with a SOFT LINT-FREE cloth.Then Using a LINT FREE cloth, wipe the glass surface with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) and wait forEVAPORATE.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 5555

Wipe down the Protective Liner on the cling side of the SELF-ADHESIVE Switchable PrivacyFilm to remove any dust.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 6666

Remove the first 100mm (4”) of the protective liner covering the cling side onthe BUS-BAR edge.Make sure that you do this in a clean dust free environment.

Remove the Protective Liner from the ADHESIVE STRIP on the BUS-BAR edge.


Make the BUS-BAR edge of the SELF-ADHESIVE Switchable Privacy Film along with the topedge of the glass. When in position, run your finger along the BUS-BAR to fix the top edge.

Gradually pull away the protective liner and allow the film to slowly adhere to the glass surfaceunder its own pressure.Using the roller move down the film working in horizontal lines left to right to disperse any airbubbles.If any small bubbles are visible, carefully lift the film and let it sit back down under its ownpressure again until you have a bubble-free installation.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 11110000

Use the soft edge squeegee to work any small bubbles and the edges of the film.But if any edges are lifting slightly, do not worry, they will relax down once the PROTECTIVELINER is removed.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 11111111

Once the film is installed on the glass you can then start work on wiring the bus-bar. Carefullysolder the electrical cable to the mesh tags.There are two tags on the left hand side and two tags onthe right hand side. Solder a cable to one tag on the left (positive connection) and one tag on theright (negative connection). The other tags are only there as spares. You can use them to connectthe cables to a switch or transformer and test the switching from frosted to clear. Once you havetested successfully, you can trim off the spare mesh tags.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 11112222

Now you can carefully remove the other protective liner.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 11113333

Run some clear double-sided tape along the bus-bar edge to hold your electrical cables in placewhile you prepare the cover trim.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 11114444

Use Dow Corning (7091) non-acid based silicone along the bus-bar edge to hold the protectivecover trim in place. We recommend you use a plastic cover trim.STEPSTEPSTEPSTEP 11116666

Now, Congratulations! The installation is complete and you can clean the film. For mostinstallations we would recommend that you use a cover trim on all edges of the film.
