Pros/Cons Good
Robust full featured product
Can handle large operations
Default design usable out of the box
Pretty good selection of plug-ins
Community version is free
Good attention to SEO
Can support multiple stores within same install
Good reporting
Time-savers like batch import and integration with other systems like Google Base
Most of the features you would want are available in some form (downloadable products, reviews, product configurations, localization, shipping options, promos, accounts, etc)
Not Good
Not a robust CMS
Still bugs in under used parts of the software.
Customization beyond the admin area (code) can get complicated.
The plug-ins can to be buggy and may not work if you customize anything.
Support for community version is hard to find.
The dev community isn't super helpful
Paid version is quite expensive ($11K) & may still require you to be hosted with them.
Lots of options. Sometimes hard to find in the myriad of configuration settings.
