DIY- Military Inspired Shirt I love Do-It-Yourself projects, they are challenging, creative and they end up giving me a sense of accomplishment when it comes to fashion! Today's DIY is a special one, it reflects who I am, the background I come from in every sense sense. We have all been seeing military, army inspired clothing, jackets, cardigans everywhere now but let's admit it they are expensive and are only worn once or twice during a particular season (winters in most of the case), so why not create something equally inspiring and that can be used over and over again... For the shirt you will be requiring a denim shirt, acrylic glue, paint brush, 30-40 golden colored buttons. Few graphics from any military/army store that houses uniforms (I used my father's badges) and a colorful brooch.

This is an absolutely no stitching, no sewing DIY hence be assured that you wont end up cribbing about this project. In the next step you need to place the buttons on the pocket or wherever you may like to put it. I wanted to design the pockets so yes, just place the buttons to see the spacing and lines. It's meant to be military inspired so it's absolutely ok if the buttons looks so not aligned or stacked up.

Now just dip the paint brush in the acrylic glue and start sticking the button son the shirt in order to get the desired look. If you want to avoid being messy, then wear a plastic/rubber glove just like the way I am wearing it!

Now that you have glued the buttons on one side of the shirt, repeat the same for the other side as well.

Once you are done sticking buttons, you should now paste Military badges, brooch or any other ornament you want to decorate your shirt with. I have used my father's old ranks which were a part of his uniform once upon a time.

Now that your shirt is ready, simply team it up with any piece from your wardrobe and get set to rock this look! I am wearing a lace skirt along with leather boots and my newly bought shades.
