Engineering & Environmental Assessment

• Existing right-of-way encroachments are minimal• Minimal environmental impacts and no remediation

necessary• Stormwater is a concern since the corridor is the low point;

can be addressed with natural swales along the trail• Structures along the corridor remain in good condition• There are several at-grade crossings where improvements will

be needed to ensure safe conditions• Safety concerns include the length of the tunnel, some steep

slopes and some crossings• Vegetative barriers provide screening for the trail
