JUSTHOST™ REVIEW JustHost™ was established in 2007 and is considered a fairly new web hosting provider compared to others like iPage or BlueHost with over 10 years of experience. However, as a new company, JustHost™ brings a fresh approach to web hosting and has received good reviews from their customers.

However, as with all hosting companies, I’ve also seen several complaints about JustHost during my research. So, in my Justhost review, I’ll research and test their hosting plan to help you make your own decision.

Is JustHost™ Reliable?

• Downtime hurts because you lose visitors and in many cases, it costs you revenue. This company proves that reliability doesn’t have to cost you a fortune and has an uptime guarantee of 99.9%.

• They use over 2,000 Linux web servers and their data center is in Chicago. The data center is also equipped with a UPS power backup generator to ensure that your site will still be live, even if a server or power goes down.

• JustHost™ monitors its network 24/7 so if a problem does arise, it’s addressed immediately and will be solved within half an hour.

• You’re also given free backups of your website every few weeks to make sure that you never lose any data.

The JustPlan

• The only real difference we can find is that JustPlan only offers one free domain, while JustPlan Premium offers three. Without any discount, JustPlan Premium costs $2.50 more per month than JustPlan. That’s about $30 more per year for two extra domains.

• JustPlan Premium isn’t really a bargain deal. If you want to host multiple domains, just choose the basic JustPlan and register your domain with a registar. You can then point as many domains to JustHost™ for free.

• To do this, simply go to Parked Domains in the Control Panel, under Security. There’s also a helpful tutorial on how to park domains.

• Unlike other web hosting companies where you’re only given one site builder tool, JustHost™ offers you the choice between Site Builder and RVSiteBuilder. Both site builders can allow you to have a website up and running in less than 10 minutes.

• After watching tutorials for Site Builder and RVSiteBuilder, I have to say thatRVSiteBuilder seems to offer more flexibility and custom options. I did some more research in forums and RVSiteBuilder is definitely more recommended than Site Builder. RVSiteBuilder is easier to use when it comes to customizing layouts and designs. It offers a simple step-by-step guide on how to set up and customize a website or blog.

• The site builder tools are helpful in creating websites that follow a certain template look, which is helpful if you’re looking for a simple website. However, if you wanted to have a fully customizable website with more features and functions, then you might like to download a specific web application, such as Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, or b2evolution.

• Setting up Joomla for the first time took me almost an hour to install and setup. However, using JustHost, I was able to install Joomla in less than 20 minutes. You can also have a functional WordPress blog up in less than 5 minutes. The added convenience saves you time and the headaches involved with CMS setups.

control panel or directly from its website. What really makes JustHost™ stands out for me, are the comprehensive and helpful video tutorials. By searching through its online resources, I was able to find the answer to 90% of my questions.

• Nevertheless, if you can’t find what you need online, then you can easily speak to a real customer support staff either through e-mail, live chat or a phone call.

• My experience with Justhost Support

• I’ve tested out the call and live chat features and although I did get the answer I need in the end, I wasn’t overly impressed by the level of customer service. Sometimes I had to wait a while to get a response and the support staff weren’t as knowledgeable compared to other web hosting companies. However, I was impressed by the quick e-mail response that I received within 30 minutes of sending a ticket.

JustHost Review Conclusion • Although JustHost™ is a younger company, they certainly

don’t lack the features and benefits you would expect from a much larger web hosting company. JustHost™ provides very affordable hosting where you’re given not just out-of-the-box setup features, but also easy-to-setup CMS like Joomla and Zen Cart.

• We’ve been quite satisfied with the JustHost™ and haven’t experienced any downtime. The abundance of resources is a plus and the video tutorials cover basic setup questions, to more technical problems. Although customer support could be improved, we haven’t experienced any frustrating moments and find the support staff overall helpful.
