The mobile service market in Latin America is highly concentrated, with
regional operators América Móvil and Telefónica’s Movistar holding an estimated 60% of all subscribers in
the region as of year-end 2013.
Globally, 5% of all passenger vehicles will be connected to
a cellular network. With regulations coming into e�ect, the growth rate should
accelerate during 2014.
The 2014 World Cup will be a key driver behind Brazil’s 15% growth in
mobile data service revenue and nearly 4m new pay-TV subscriptions.

personal cloud account; such accounts have
become strategic for customer ownership.
Thanks to the country’s telecom reform as well as institutional
and legal changes, the Mexican market will soon bene�t from
new competition: both LLU and the lifting of foreign ownership
