Imation’s InfiniVault 35 is a purpose-built, active archive storage appliance for mid-sized enterprises that uses elastic vaults of online, nearline and offline storage to automatically retrieve, retain and recover all types of capacity-intensive data files, including records, emails, drawings, video and images. InfiniVault 35 is compatible with a wide variety of digital content-intensive applications.

Capacity: Infinite Offline StorageNever run short of capacity again; with InfiniVault 35 you can store an unlimited number of removable drive RDX® cartridges, both offline and offsite. Keeping track of all that data (down to individual RDX cartridge and file levels) is a snap thanks to VaultCenter™, InfiniVault’s management software. With VaultCenter you can also automatically move data from nearline to offline state, freeing up capacity while preserving file access.

Flexibility: Elastic Nearline Storage Expand and optimize your nearline storage tier; with ten RDX drive bays InfiniVault 35 has the flexibility to easily grow capacity, while VaultCenter enables you to quickly configure policies and settings that automatically ensure each file is moved to its optimum storage tier as needed. Key to delivering fast and secure nearline storage, RDX cartridges combine the speedy access of hard drives with the long-term data retention abilities of far-slower tape. Need to expand nearline capacity? Add up to 90 more RDX drives in rack storage expansion units.

Performance: Fast Online StorageSpeed up your file access, transfer and retrieval; InfiniVault 35 enables you to quickly ingest a multitude of digital assets and handle millions of file requests per day via its online storage tier, which employs 7200-RPM SATA HDDs. Equally important, this tier is also used to rapidly transfer data between the InfiniVault 35, applications and users, essentially acting as a high-speed cache for the elastic nearline (bulk storage) tier that provides long-term retention and scalability.

Compliance-Driven Storage Specifically designed to meet the information storage requirements outlined in multiple government and industry regulations, InfiniVault 35 helps you remain compliant as you manage rapid and unpredictable data growth. To satisfy those requirements, InfiniVault supports Write-Once-Read-Many (WORM) applications and conforms to a broad range of storage compliance standards.

Web-Based Management Console The centralized, easy-to-use controls in the InfiniVault 35’s management console simplify storage administration by enabling you to easily setup and operate a tiered archive repository for active and static data.
