By just searching for a “person,” you can get all the time instances when a person was present, which can then be reviewed for authorized or unauthorized access behavior. This typically reduces the review time for a 24-hour video to less than an hour.

Work with video from public CCTV sources and in impounded hard drivesVideo from other sources like private CCTV cameras (e.g., retail stores, hotels) can easily be ingested and time-synced with the rest of your CCTV footage for a complete overview of events in a given time frame, which reduces overall investigative time.

Use tagged content as evidence in courtsWe help you to maintain the evidential trail, keeping all content secure by auditing any access. Whether the video is primary evidence, as with live streams, or secondary evidence, in the case of “bit for bit” ingested recordings, the strength of the evidence is maintained for court use.

Detect suspicious activityHP’s video analytics capabilities allow automatic detection and alerting on hundreds of different scenarios that law enforcement officers might be interested in, but do not have the bandwidth to actively monitor. You can also detect suspicious activity and get real-time alerts from thousands of currently unmonitored cameras.

• Mobile analytics on cameras mounted on police cars: Use police vehicles as mobile eyes with light bar integrated cameras that perform analytics such as number plate detection and flagging of stolen vehicles. The cameras on the vehicles can also be used for real-time surveillance as long as the vehicle is connected through an internet link. The same system could also be used as a revenue generator by identifying cars with overdue registration, etc.

• Airborne analytics from high resolution cameras: Run video analytics such as tracking cars or formation of crowds from cameras on airborne platforms like aerostats (blimps) or UAVs, providing eyes in the sky for a modern police force.
