• Harford County is positioning itself for the next potential BRAC rounds

• Community leadership is monitoring Department of Defense activity as it relates to opportunities between BRAC rounds – such as continued realignments for cost savings at other installations that do not go before Congress

• APG has the land availability and infrastructure to support growth in future BRAC rounds

• Transportation Coordinator has been hired through a grant with the CSSC and will be on Post to work with employees

• Transportation Demand Management activities have been elevated both by APG and CSSC

January 12, 2010 - Ports America Chesapeake signed a 50-year lease concession with the Maryland Port Administration (MPA) to operate Seagirt Marine Terminal.

Seagirt Marine Terminal Capabilities

• 50 foot channel existing

• 7 post panamax cranes AND 4 super post panamax cranes

• Berth 4 is dredged to 50 feet to accommodate the new panamax vessels

• Port of Baltimore is served by two Class I Railroads, CSX and Norfolk Southern – both of which service industrial parks in Harford County
