Since philosophy promotes an understanding of human relationship and sensitizes us to the different needs, providing us with a framework for distinguishing, separating and understanding values while fostering flexibility and consistency in working with the different groups of learners, we as educators should continue the trend of philosophers over the years and state our philosophy of education. This is a tool that should be utilized in helping us to make better decisions; taking action and applying the different elements towards achieving meaningful contributions along with assisting mankind better understand and express an appreciation for what we do.

The fact that every child can learn, and the

fact that technology is playing such a vital

role in education, every effort should be put

into understanding how individuals

learn, what motivates them into learning and

use every available avenue to channel

knowledge to the learner. I am cognizant of

the fact that the ability to learn depends on

the capacity to comprehend and process the

material disseminated; therefore, I am

convinced that the preparation for learning

begins at conception.

The learner needs to, not merely know, but

understands the importance and the value of

education. It is my strong conviction that a

learner will absorb any material he is fed if

he knows and appreciates of the value of

education. If the ability to learn is

achieved, it is my opinion that educators will

certainly become facilitators, thinking

professionally and creatively, endeavoring to

shape enquiry minds filled with curiosity and

the degree of determination to get answers.

According to Gardner, the implication of the

theory is that learning/teaching should focus

on the particular intelligences of each person

The theory of multiple intelligences suggests

that there are a number of distinct forms of

intelligence that each individual possesses in

varying degrees.

According to Piaget, the main goal of

Education should be t to help children learn

to learn, and that education should “Form

and not Furnish” the minds of students.
