Nov 5, 2012, the first time John O'Nolan wrote about “just a blogging platform” on his blog. This idea was the beginning of Ghost.

Apr 29, 2013, John has brought his idea about Ghost to Kickstarter.
● 05/2013 - Completion of Kickstarter ● 06/2013 - Nightly/Weekly releases to VIP level and higher backers ● 08/2013 - Release to ALL Kickstarter backers ● 09/2013 - Public release on Github ● 10/2013 - Release of the hosted platform to Kickstarter backers ● 01/2014 - Release of the hosted platform to the general public
