Facebook is a free access social networking website that is operated and privately own by Facebook, Inc
Founded in 2004 by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg, originally called thefacebook.
It was only available to schools, universities, organizations, and companies within English speaking countries
Now its used by anyone over 13
Wall – space on profile page to write a message
Info – personal information page Photos - to upload albums, tags pictures
and comments Video – used to share video
Terms of use or Terms of Services (TOS) is the rules set out by an online service providers
The rules required the members or users to follow
In Facebook those rules set out under Statement of Rights and Responsibility

The users privacy is important to Facebook Privacy policy of Facebook provides

The policy also tells users on how the information is being used and collected
Facebook encourage every user to read privacy policy before making decision on what information they store in their Facebook page
Photos and videos of users may used by others and Facebook
When used applications and platforms, the information may be shared with others.
When you publish information using the “everyone” setting it means everyone can see the information
User’s feedbacks or suggestion can be used by Facebook without any prior notification to the users
It requires real name and email address when signing up
The users must be over 13 years old The users are required to have
username and password Facebook can remove or recheck the
users access if its necessary
The users are not allow to post any information that violates other users rights and laws
inappropriate contents will be removed The users are not allow to collect and
use any information from others unless prior consent from other users
No personal identification or financial information are allowed on Facebook
Facebook does not guarantee the safety of users
There is no unauthorized commercial communication such as spams
Users are not allow to upload viruses Users are not allow to disrespect any
other users
When access Facebook with mobile phone, text messaging fees applies
Keep the mobile phone number up to date to ensure the messages sent to the right number
Users own all the posted information & content
By using privacy application settings the users can control how their information shared by Facebook
