Introduction

• For this project I had to look at all possible options in terms of themes and although it wasn’t easy I came to the conclusion of doing expression through color. I chose this theme because I love bright in your face colors as well as soft calm colors. Color is all around us in more ways then we realize in our day to day lives. They can be warnings, directions, examples of life, and even death. Color is life. It is what we see, as well as what we associate our feelings and emotions with.

This photo is an image I took in the office of a students art work. The color displayed in the image is expressed as an illusion.

This photo is an example where color is not needed but is still very effective. Having no color gives the object the opportunity to stand out amongst the crowd and make a statement.

The bark in this image shows the natural beauty that is nature in its entirety with deep dark as well as light browns throughout.

The color that is shown in this painting is used to express an emotion of the lady that’s being captured with the mellow blues and greens.

The expression given in this image is a blur with a bright color leaving the observer with the freedom and curiosity of wondering what’s beneath the layer.

With the bold color of red this sign pops out to any person walking by giving the obvious statement that the services one wishes to receive are unavailable at the moment.

The traffic cones in this picture are focused on by everyone with their bright orange color with the use of directing traffic.

The dead leaves in this photo are expressing the final cycle of any living organism with the deep browns and broken edges shown throughout the image.

The bright green in this sign captures the audiences attention

giving them direction without causing chaos within the crowd.

The bright red in the picture as well as the wording in the image gives warning and keeps the observer aware.

In this particular image the colors have a meaning to our nation as a whole expressing freedom.

The bright vibrant color of the flowers express to everyone that spring time is coming soon.

The sunflower is known as a weed to many however; it expresses and gives off its bright beautiful happiness even though it is despised along the way.

The leaf in this tree is a perfect example of nature and its natural beauty expressed through its bright green.

This sunflower was on the ground and just being blown around outside and I thought I could get a good photo out of it in order to prove that color and nature are truly all around us.

I took this photo looking up into a tree and realized that nature in all its colors and beauty is really a matter of perspective.

The bark on this tree is old and cracked expressing the harsh toll the desert weather conditions can have on even the simplest of things.

By bringing out the color in this painting you can see that this image is expressing the direction in which one wishes to go.

I love the color of these flowers even though they look untouchable, they express that even the dangerous parts of nature are beautiful.

This parking sign is put into place to express that everyone is put into consideration with a calm blue.
