How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks.

Star appeal-this photo is also used in the digipak and therefore there is a link between the website and the digipak

The digipak is included into the website to try and get people to recognise the album and buy it. It also links the website and the digipak together.

Information about Ray himself, to try and get people to be interested in his music.

The piano used in the image behind the about is the same piano used in the video and also the digipak.

I put the music video onto the website as I felt that it gave more scope for the video to be seen, it also links my video onto the website I made.

The name of the tour on the website is ‘Life’s Flame’ which is also the name of the album. This gives the link from the digipak to the website.

I had a black and white theme throughout the three ancillary tasks. This makes a clear link between the three of them. I also had star appeal and put the artist in all three of the ancillary tasks. This gave people a clear indication of who the artist was.

The name is apparent throughout the digipak and the website with the name ‘Ray Wilkins’ this makes it easy to relate too and as a result star appeal takes place.However I was unable to use the same font throughout the three pieces as photoshop did not have the font used on the website and wix didn’t have the font that I used on photoshop.

I managed to use the same image from the digipak onto the website, this means that he also has the same clothing throughout, therefore he is being portrayed in the same way throughout the three tasks.

I had the record label on both the Digipak and the website, this was so people could associate that Ray was going to be a successful artist as his label is Sony which is a hugely well respected record company and as a result it will encourage people to buy the album as its from a well respected company.

The piano that was used in the music video, the digipak and the website, this gave people familiarity with the three products and meant there was a direct link between the three, the bottom image is in the music video, was screenshotted and then put directly into the digipak.

How do I think they went•I believe the three ancillary tasks link well

together as they all have very similar layouts, all have the same colour scheme and they have the star appeal to show people that the pieces are linked together. It meets my expectations as I believe they look like a real piece of work.
