Elephant

Physical Features/Description
• Elephants weigh 16,500• They have wrinkled skin• There trunk helps them
to eat• It is the biggest land
animal• Has big floppy ears
• They use their tusks to scrape bark from tree’s
• Has six sets of molar’s for grinding up food
• It’s trunk is made up of 100,000 muscles and no bones
• Can grow up to 20 to 25 feet tall feet tall
Habitat
• Lives in forests, bushes, and grassy places
• For shade calf’s go under their mother’s stumach
• Enimies are lion’s, tiger’s and hyenas
• lives in warm climet• Lives in the Sahara desert
• Lives in many different places like Savannahs, rain forests and mountins
Diet/Behavior
• A half in hour after the calf is born it can walk
• If enemies are there they suck up water and spry them
• They eat trees grass bushes and leaves
• Mothers can drink up to 53 gallons of water a day
• There vegetarians so they only eat grass and plants
• They need lots of room to walk around
Interesting Facts
• Elephants spend sixteen hours a day looking for food
• The trunk is six feet long 8.1 meters
