Trade Routes in the Americas

Each port in the Americas was important for trading goods for the well being of their colonies and for their home country.

In South America, some of those goods were sugar, Brazil wood, gold and tropical animals. These were all done by Indian and African slaves.

In North America, the valuables consisted of fur, cocoa, gold and African slaves.

Each of these settlements were making money for their empires through the goods that the countries they

invaded provided for them.
