Dragons’ Den: Sustainable Tourist Resort

Will they make or break your business dream?

Your task over the next cycle (next three lessons) is to create a sustainable tourist destination. You need to design a tourist resort that is not only environmentally sustainable, but also economically sustainable (think about seasonality).

Remember, for it to be sustainable people must actually want to go there, so think about what unique selling point your destination will have. You need to minimise the negative impacts and maximise the positive.

You need to get investment for your idea so will need to pitch your idea to a team of dragons. Be prepared because they will ask you questions!

You should include in your finished pitch:

The location of where in the world your destination will be located (justify this in terms of the climate and also the suitability of the location for the activities offered.

What type of tourist your resort will cater for (age group / singles / families, etc) How you are going to make your destination economically and environmentally sustainable. What is your unique selling point going to be?

You will be given a National Curriculum level for this work.
