Distribution processOnce the production process is complete, the music video will now enter the process of distribution. There are many forms distribution can take place, for example: •Youtube, •TV channels, •Websites (e.g Itunes) etc..

Distribution companies will sign deals with record labels who own the rights to artists' products. The job of these companies is to sell the music created by the artists to the consumers who are willing to buy it.

Itunes•It is a media player, media library and mobile device management application developed by Apple•Users can purchade/download: music, music videos, television shows, audiobooks, podcasts•It offers 37 million songs, 700,00 apps, 190,000 TV episodes etc...

For an artist to sell their product on Itunes, they can complete an application form themselves. Or use an aggregator who are experts in delivering content to Itunes, for a fee they can correctly format and deliver the content to Apple’s specifications.

Independent artists may wish to format the content and complete the application forms etc themselves to save money, however artists’ signed to big record labels will have this done for them.
