Introduction
Pacific Crest Grounding transformers are used to provide a ground path to either an ungrounded or a
delta connected system and are used...
1. Provide a relatively low impedance path to ground, thereby maintaining the system neutral at or near
ground potential.
2. Limit the magnitude of transient over voltages when re-striking ground faults occur.
3. Provide a source of ground fault current during line to ground faults.
4. Permit the connection of secondary loads if desired.
All ratings are designed in accordance with applicable ANSI, NEMA and IEEE standards.
Ratings
• Primary Voltage - all voltages through 46 kV - 250 kV BIL
• Secondary Voltage - when required all voltages through 15 kV
• Frequency - 60Hz
• Temperature rise 65º C
• Consult factory for ratings not shown
Standard Features
• Secondary spade connectors when required
• Primary clamp type eyebolt connectors
• Combination drain and sampler
• Pressure test and upper filter press connection - 1” pipe plug
