• Contents is not a sub heading in this magazine cover instead they have used the word features . Even though it is not the standard word they have made up for it it by simplifying the contents so that is easy to highlight key information and find articles your are looking for.

• By using the artist usher on the contents page gives me the impression that he is on the front cover . Using an artist such as Usher will attract readers who are into R&B listeners.

• A long shot is used which takes most of the page .Backlighting is used to show his star like quality or his persona.

• The font colour used is white to make it stand out on the grey/black background.

• The issue date is displayed twice on this cover page on the top and bottom .

• The cover story is given a bigger font so it is highlighted and easier to spot for the target audience.

• The masthead is quite small compared to other magazines contents pages.

• The main image has taken more than half of the page barely leaving any space for the actual features. Probably to attract the reader.

• The main image consists of two men both dressed in clothing that relates to their genre which is hip hop. The most noticeable item s are the jewellery which is mostly worn to show wealth.
