Function

• a volunteer Not-For-Profit 501(c)3* organization. The California IPv6 Task Force (CAv6TF) is devoted to IPv6 use, education, and deployment through advocacy, membership, certification, and learning resources for its base of internet protocol engineering members.

• dedicated to the advancement and propagation of IPv6 in the state of California. The CAv6TF mission is to advocate, educate and promote IPv6 by providing technical leadership, white papers, events and local/regional meeting.

Current Projects

• Higher Education Survey, hope to determine the current education curriculum around IPv6 for undergraduate and graduate students

• Commercial Company Survey, hope to determine the current education gap to have a newly hired engineer get up to speed on IPv6 to be productive on a project

• MeetUps, in person events (like this one) to allow the exchange of knowledge around design, planning and operation of IPv6 networks

• State of California – California Department of Technology

• Please let us know if you are interested in participating – we will add you to a committee
