Creating and casting organizational vision takes time and is

best done in phases. If an organization wants to exist for a long

time, a solid foundation is required. This is best accomplished

by laying down the blue print for vision. Phase 1 consist of the

visionary taking ownership of the vision and developing the

proper team to accomplish the vision.

Organizational vision is birthed from individual vision.

An individual is inspired or called to serve people in a

particular manner.

The organizational vision will be an extension of a

personal vision expanded.

Therefore it is vital that the visionary own the vision.

Owning The Vision:

This is a key and critical essential of the vision. The

visionary must take time to own the vision. Based on

personal values, sense of purpose and area of service

desired.

3 Keys on Ownership:

1. Accomplishing this vision will bring me the most joy

2. I have publicly shared my vision with other people

3. My vision has been challenged and I still embrace it

In the quadrant you will find four parts, Visionary,

Strategist, Doer and Speaker. The natural flow is to

began with vision, vision then needs a strategy, once

strategy is in place, doers are required, and lastly the

speaker is constantly echoing the vision.

The visionary needs to know which quadrant they

naturally fall

into, so they can assemble the right team.

The organizational values will be based on the

individuals value system. What is the persons moral

compass. What does the individual stand for? How

does the individual want to be viewed in public and

private? These will all set the tone for organizational

value system.

MISSION:

The mission of the organization is an extension of a

personal

mission of the individual. It is a specific purpose

STRATEGY:

Without a clear, practical strategy, an organization will

never realize it’s mission or vision

VISION:

Vision is a clear, challenging picture of the future

Building the Team:

Once the visionary is secure in their

ownership of the vision, it

is now time to build the team.

Team members should have a similar

passion and heart of

the visionary for the vision.

When the visionary speaks, the heart

of the team member should leap.

Having the wrong people

on the bus will only cause

trouble in the long run.
