Human brain, the most valuable creation ofGod. The man is called intelligent because of thebrain. But we loss the knowledge of a brain whenthe body is destroyed after the death .

“BLUE BRAIN”- The name of the world’s firstvirtual brain which is developed by IBM. Thatmeans a machine that can function as human brainand within 30 years we will be able to scan ourselvesinto the computer

INTRODUCTION

Page 4: Blue brain

Today we are developed because of ourintelligence. Intelligence is the inborn qualitythat cannot be created.

After the death of a person, virtual brain will actas a person so we will not lose the knowledge, intelligence, personalities, feelings andmemories of that man can be used for thedevelopment of the human society.

Certain super brains like that of Steve Jobs, orStephen Hawkings could be interfaced withcomputer to develop super computers.

IBM’s blue brain project will search for insightsinto how human beings think and remember.

Scientists think that blue brain could also helpto cure the Parkinson's disease.

The brain circuitry is in a complex state of flux, the brain rewiring itself every moment of itsexistence. If the scientists can crack open thesecret of how and why the brain does it, theknowledge could lead to new breed ofsupercomputers.

A machine that can function as brain

It can take decision.

It can think.

It can response.

It can keep things in memory.

To upload contents of the natural brain into it .

To keep the intelligence knowledge and skillof any person.

To remember things without any effort .

Now there is no question how the virtualbrain will work.

But the question is how the human brain willbe uploaded into it.

This is also possible due to the fast growingtechnology.

Page 12: Blue brain

The uploading is possible by theuse of small robots known as theNANOBOTS.

These robots are small enough totravel throughout our circulatorysystem.

Traveling into the spine and brainthey will be able to monitor theactivity and structure of centralnervous system.

They will provide an interfacewith computer while we reside inour biological form .

12

Page 13: Blue brain

Nanobots could also carefully scan the structure ofour brain, providing a complete readout of theconnection.

This information, when entered into a computer, could then continue to function as us.

Thus the data stored in the entire brain will beuploaded into the computer.

IBM, in partnership with scientists at Switzerland’sEcole Polytechnique Federal De Lausanne’s(EPFL)Brain and Mind Institute will begin simulating thebrain’s biological systems.

A Super Computer..

Memory with a very large storing capacity.

Processor of high processing power i.e. 256 MB to512 MB memoryper processor.

A very wide Network..

A program to convert the electric impulses from the brain to inputsignal, which is to be received by the computer and vice versa.

Very powerful Nanobots to act as the interface between the naturalbrain and the computer.

Linux and C++ software.

Blue Brain will reveal manyexisting aspects of the braincircuits ,memory capacity , andhow memories are lost.

The modeling is also able towork out best way tocompensate and repair errorcircuits .The blue brain modelcan be used to detect and testtreatment strategies forneurological diseases.

We can remember things withoutany effort.

Decision can be made without thepresence of a person.

Even after the death of a man hisintelligence can be used.

• The activity of different animalscan be understood.

• Allowing the deaf to hear viadirect nerve

18

Page 19: Blue brain

We become dependent upon the computersystems.

Others may use technical knowledge against us.

Possibilities of human cloning.

If in future surrogates to humans are developedthen, there will be no human interaction and theworld will run on computers only.

19

Page 20: Blue brain

A very good example of utilization of blue brainis the case "short term memory".

In some movies we might have noticed that aperson might be having short term memories.

20

Page 21: Blue brain

A another situation is that when a person gets older, then he starts forgetting or takes a bit more time torecognize to a person.

For the above reason we need a blue brain. It is asimple chip that can be installed into the humanbrain for which the short term memory and volatilememory at the old age can be avoided.

21

Page 22: Blue brain

We will be able to transfer ourselves into computersat some point.

It will bring both benefits and harm to human society.

Very soon this technology will be highly acceptedwhole over the world.
