You may think that a change in weather patterns is only a minor effect of global warming but is has a BIG impact.

Changes in weather patterns cause more erratic and uncontrollable weather. A change in weather patterns leads to more and more major natural disasters such as: Tsunamis, Mud slides, Hurricanes, Drought, Wild Fires.

Look at the heart break and destruction that was caused in America after Hurricane Katrina. Millions upon millions of dollars of damage was done. This freakish act of nature proves that natural disasters can effect anyone at anytime.

With in the next 23 years the worlds temperate will have risen by 1-2 degrees world wide. This may seem like an insignificant rise but the impact will be devastating.

2 and 3 rated storms will have much more of an effect causing severe flooding and destruction.

Tornados and Hurricanes will become less likely but their severity will greatly increase.

There are many small things that you can do help around the house:

Switch off the lights around your house and use energy efficient light bulbs.

Walk to the corner shop instead of driving.

Reduce your showers to 4 minutes, not only does this save water but also green house gases.

Close the blinds. Less of the cool air escapes therefore the air conditioner isn’t needed as much.

In winter have the blinds open as it allows the suns natural heat in.

Hang clothes on the line to dry instead using the dryer.
