BEACONS ENHANCE MOVIE GOING EXPERIENCE

TOHO Cinemas, Japan introduced beacons to provide diverse array of services such as automatic video streaming, facility information, digital coupons and online campaigns.
NBC Universal placed beacons across a mall to drive ticket sales by allowing moviegoers to opt-in to be reminded to purchase tickets on the opening day of a film.
Britain’s Odeon Cinemas introduced beacons that enable visitors at the theater to scan movie posters that will trigger trailers. Beacons are also used for pre-show information and post-show follow ups.
