Physical Features

• 5 species of baboons• 2 to 4 feet long with head and body• Largest type of monkey• Has brown to silvery fur• Weighs 30 to 90 lbs• Tail is 45 to 70 cm long

Diet/Behavior

• They are omnivores• They are noisy animals• Females sometimes have twins• They sometimes throw stones for defense• Can raid human dwellings

Habitat

• Live in savanna• Savannas are hot areas of dry grass• Savannas get a few months of rain each year• Acacia and baobab trees grow there• Enemies are lions, leopards, cheetahs, and

servals• Grass can grow up to 6 feet tall

• Can live up to 45 years in captivity • Can live up to 30 years in the wild• Endangered due to loss of habitat
