ROOM 4 TREE PLANTING

INTRO

Yesterday on August 19 Room 4 went to Princes Drive Reserve to go Tree Planting!

WORM, SWEET WORM

At the reserve there were a lot of worms enjoying the nutrients in the soil. It would have been a good place for them to live because there were heaps of gorse roots under the soil, and the worms would like them. Many people dug up the worms.

There were heaps of different varieties of trees such as

Beech Totara Pittisporum Manuka And others but I forgot their names!?

WOW!

In total, Room 4 planted 274 trees! Wow, that is a lot of tiring work! Room 4 cant wait to go next year! (Or a least the year 5’s)

A SCARY SPIDER

Ebony and Mack found a very scary spider, called a trapdoor spider. It was huge! Honestly, it would have been carrying 1,000,000 eggs! Seriously!

Come to the reserve in like, 200 years , and you will see fully grown trees planted by us.
