What To Expect?

The event will take place at 10 am PT at Bill Graham

auditorium in San Francisco, California.

iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus

We can also expect the company to unveil

its latest smartphones, which will likely be

called iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The

phones will be identical in appearance to

last year’s models, but feature a faster

processor, modest camera upgrade, and

new touch-sensitive technology called

Force Touch.

A new Apple TV Box, finally…

Most tech enthusiasts assume a new

version of the company’s set top-box and

streaming box service known as Apple TV

will also be revealed. The box was last

updated with a minor hardware change in

2013.

iOS 9

Apple is expected to announce a release

date for its latest mobile operating system

at the annual event. Rumors suggest iOS 9

will include a slew of new multi-tasking

features for the iPad, such as split-screen

apps and a new keyboard.

New iPhone colours

Everyone went nuts when Apple first

introduced the gold colour option on the

iPhone 5s – but now it’s rumoured that

Apple is planning to debut a “rose gold” colour option for the iPhone 6s.

While some reports have called the new

colour option “pink.”

New iPads

There’s speculation Apple might introduce

the long-awaited 12.9-in. iPad Pro. capable

of fully exploiting the many iPad-focused

enhancements on the way in iOS 9. The

iPad mini and iPad Air will be

significantly improved, with the smaller

device being an iPad Air 2 equivalent.

Update on Apple Watch OS 2

The chance of new Apple Watch hardware

on September 9 is negligible, but it's not

even needed. Apple has already showcased

an upgraded Apple Watch software --

Watch OS 2 -- that adds big

improvements.

The September 9 event would be a perfect

time to showcase new Apple Watch apps.

What About The Mac?

Apple has already slated its free Mac OS X

upgrade, dubbed El Capitan, for later this

year as well. In addition to offering more

details on that release timeframe, Cook

and company could announce some

hardware refreshes as well.
