You can do much more than add shortcuts you can embed live application content directly through interactive widgets. Widgets are resizable, so you can expand them to show more content or shrink them to save space. 13. New lock screen actions The lock screens now let you do more without unlocking. From the slide lock screen, you can jump directly to the camera for a picture or pull down the notifications window to check for messages. Intel doesnt want to lose ownership of the netbookmarket, so they need to prepare for anything, includingAndroid . Android was developed with multiple-processor utilization inmind. Its simple for Android developers to program for a phonewith 2, 4, or even 32 processing cores without having to write asingle extra line of code. By the end of 2012, new devices will be released with up toeight processing cores with clock speeds in excess of 2 GHz.This means longer battery life, as a phone with multiple corescan do more calculations quicker with less energy.More Androiddevices are coming and some will push the envelope even 24. Conclusion All-in-all, I would say that the latest offering fromAndroid, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich isdefinitely worth more than just a look. High Resolution Screen Technology introduced byApple. Provides greater pixel density and higher contrastratios. The term is used for several Apple products, includingthe iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and MacBook Pro. The displays are manufactured by different suppliers.Currently, the iPads display comes from Samsungwhile LG Display make the MacBook Pro display, alongwith the iPhone and iPod Touch displays . 26. Retina Display SO IT MAKES STUFF LOOK MAGICALLY BETTER . 27. FEATURES The sharpest, most vibrant, highest-resolution phonescreen ever. Everything you see and do on iPhone 4S looks amazing. Thats because the Retina displays pixel density is so high, your eye is unableto distinguish individual pixels. Which means text in books, web pages, andemail is crisp at any size.Images in games, movies, and photos popoff the screen. And everything is sharper. 28. Continue No detail overlooked.By developing pixels a mere 78 micrometers wide, Appleengineers were able to pack four times the number of pixelsinto the 3.5-inch (diagonal) screen found on iPhone 4S andiPhone 4. The resulting pixel density 326 pixels per inch makes text and graphics look smooth and continuous atany size. 29. Continue . Overlook 30. Continue Brilliant no matter how you look at it.The Retina display uses technology called IPS (in-plane switching) the same technology used in the Apple LED Cinema Display and iPad toachieve a wider viewing angle than on typical LCDs. Which means youcan hold iPhone almost any way you want and still get a brilliant picture. In addition, the Retina display offers four times the contrast ratio of previous displays, so whites are brighter, blacks are darker, and everything is more beautiful. 31. Continue IPS 32. Continue Advancements in the glass And under it. Made from the same materials used in helicopters andhigh-speed trains, the Retina display glass is chemicallystrengthened to be harder, more scratch resistant, andmore durable than ever. The glass also features an oil-resistant coating that helps keep the screen clean. The Retina display includes LED backlighting and anambient light sensor that intelligently adjusts thebrightness of the screen for optimal viewing and batterylife. When you lift iPhone to your ear for a phone call, aproximity sensor immediately turns off the display to savepower and prevent accidental dialing. 33. Continue Glass 34. CONCLUSION Enhances Quality for Users. Easy to Implement (minimal code). Try Limiting to High Traffic Areas. Can be Labor Intensive. Increases Bandwidth Usage. Impact on Future of Web??? 35.
