User manual for content providers and professional services
First step in aiSTEPS
1. Download the application for your desktop from www.aisteps.com
2. A pop up window will appear, press Sign up now or Connect with facebook
3. Fill in the fields (your email is your login, set up a password) and press ‘Register an Account’
Welcome to aiSTEPS app
After logging in with your email and
password, please go to Profile and fill
in the info for your Standard profile.
Now you can make calls, use free and
paid content and browse the app. In
this „blue‟ profile you can change your
location and password if needed.
How to register professional profile
At the top of the home screen
you will see a button for
switching to Professional
Account. Upon switching, the
app will change colour to
orange.
Go to “profile” and start filling
the info. The more information
you provide about yourself and
your service, the easier it will be
for the people to find you and
sign up.
Every time you press “Update”
you can make some changes or
add information or materials.
How professional profile works
At any time any user will
be able to contact you.
You should set up the
price for voice and video
calls. We recommend
leaving chat availability
free to be able to get in
touch with potential
customers to agree on the
timing and terms of
service.
Set up your Service
Press “Service” for setting
up your lessons, lectures,
consultancy or shows. You
can set up multiple
services in the same
profile. The more
information you provide for
each of the Service, the
better it will work for
promoting your profile.
This is how your profile will
look like after you finish the
set up.
Set up your Service
Update User Details: Fill in
your name, date of birth,
education and occupation
information. Add a detailed
service description. If some
options are not available from
a drop down menu, select
„other‟ and add it manually.
If you choose a company
from the list, you will be shown
as an employee of that
company
Set up your video session
Go to „Upcoming events‟ or to
Calendar in the top Menu bar:
Press „plus‟ sign on the date
you want to set your session.
Fill in all the fields, such as
time, name, picture, number of
participants and pricing. You
can choose pricing Per Set of
events, the choose weekly or
daily – the event will be
duplicated in your calendar.
Set up your video session (type)
There are 3 types of video
sessions you can choose from
when scheduling an event:
Broadcast with Interaction –
everybody sees you, but you
choose who can talk and who is
muted throughout the event
One to One – fully interactive for 2
people
One to Many – fully interactive for
many people
Set up your video session
If you are setting up a free event,
you must activate symbolic gifts
from the list and set the price for
each gift. Any subscriber will have
the right to send it to your account
as „thank you‟ gesture. The total
price of gifts must be not less than
3 aidollars
Post your books, photos or videos for sale
Go to „Gallery and Materials‟ and add
text files, pictures of videos. You can
either offer them for free, or for a fee.
You can also distribute for free to those
who subscribed to your sessions
Manage the event – any type
At the time of your scheduled event you should log into your professional profile, select the event
and open the chat room for your subscribers. You will be able to do that 5 min before the
scheduled time.
When you open the chat room, you will see yourself in 2 windows at a time before anybody else
joins the chat room. Grey panel down on the right gives you the list of participants that you can
mute or unmute from the video event.
Manage the event – broadcast with interaction
During the „broadcast with interaction‟ session, the list of participants will have signs of a
camera and a microphone next to each name. But pressing those icons you can make
chosen persons visible or make others hear them. Similarly, you can completely mute them
from the session, so you will be broadcasting alone without interaction.
Creating a company account
If you wish to set up a company account, update User Details. In the line Company choose
„other‟ and write the name of the company below. Press Save. After that in User Details
choose your company from the drop down menu.
When other employees of your company choose its name from the drop down menu, your
profile will show the list of employees.
If you are the company account owner, you are able to manage payments and collections and
indicate which employee is entitled for a gift.
Any employee can unsubscribe from the company at any time.
Manage Payments
In the User Info (User details) press „Payment
Method‟. Insert your bank account details or
your paypal account details.
To check your balance, to TOP up your
account or to request a withdrawal to your bank
account, go to „Account‟ in the top menu bar.
