Having Dual radio 802.11ac on-board
What’s happening when having single radio on-board?
All passengers devices are sharing the same airtime on the 2.4 Ghz allocated channel, which brings poor
experience when single passenger can have 2 or 3 mobile devices registered on the Passenger’s wifi
2.4 Ghz
Having Wlan AP Dual Radio, dual band 11n & 11ac on-board clears some RF interference due to 11n
channel congestion, Now last gen mobile devices can share the clean 5ghz band mandatory for 11ac
devices.

Lab testing and production network
benchmarking have shown that even legacy and
802.11n devices tend to perform better with
802.11ac APs.
That gain is often attributed to
+ Better radios,
+ DSPs,
+ Antennas,
+ Faster CPUs
and more memory in the newer 802.11ac APs.
And considering that there is little or no price
difference compared to 802.11n devices,
installing ACKSYS 802.11ac APs in Railway
environments is a good way to go.

Ethernet Daisy Chaining on-board
railbox-mobility
Ethernet switch not mandatory
$$$$$$$$
Ethernet Daisy Chaining on-board
Prefered Design
To deploy daisy chain topologies, no hubs or switches are required.
All devices have an embedded switch.
Dual port Ethernet at the device level is an absolute integral component for daisy chain topologies.
Each device in the network has at least two Ethernet ports.
One port of the device connects to one port of the neighboring device on either side of the device. These
neighboring connections make up the daisy chain.
BENEFITS
No additional dedicated Ethernet switch on-board for
each AP
Material/footprint/Weight/Energy saving
embedded dedicated Ethernet switch.
Full gigabits speed available, because switching packet is optimized along the backbone

Switching packet optimized along the backbone
In case of hardware failure, or power
failure in the cabine, then the micro-relays
connect the two lan ports when the AP in
unpowered.

Will your infrastructure support such growing enternainment demand?
What is High Frame Rate 3D (HFR 3D)?
Frame rates refer to the number of images (frames) displayed by a projector in one
second. The current standard in cinemas worldwide is 24 frames per second (fps).
HFR 3D productions of 48 fps record and play visuals at twice the current rate,
which more closely approximates what the human eye actually sees. The higher
48fps rate provides enhanced clarity and reduces motion blur during action
sequences, artifacts, judder and strobing.
