How did you use new media technologies in the planning and research, construction and

evaluation stages?

BLOGGERI used the same blog from last year,however, changed my blogger address.This site is easy to use and work around. Iam able to directly write into the spaceprovided, copy and past workfrom Microsoft Word (ensure spelling iscorrect) or copy the embed code straightonto my blog as I used Slidesharenumerous times.

I was able to change the structure of myblog by changing the published date –allowing my blog to be presented in anorderly fashion.

USBThroughout the coursework, I used twoUSBs. I used one to store all my planning andresearch, pictures, and evaluation. I usedthe other one to store my Photoshop filesas the second USB had more gigabyte.

Hotmail I found Hotmail was the best way tocommunicate with the musician (AmyPiner) who let us use her music and withmy group as I was able to send thememails showing them my ideas forexample for the CD covering andmagazine advert.

Microsoft Word/PowerPointI used Microsoft Word and MicrosoftPowerPoint to create documents andslides which I then uploaded ontoSlideshare and embedded onto my blog.

Microsoft Word and PowerPoint enabledme to present my work in an orderly way,as if I wrote straight onto the blogger siteI wasn't able to lay my work out as neatly.

I used Slideshare last year for my ASmedia coursework, and found it was thebest way to present work that I originallymade on PowerPoint. I used thisprogramme a number of times – fromanalysing videos which I originally madeon PowerPoint to writing out researchwhich I originally made on MicrosoftWord.

SERIF MOVIE +In able to edit my VoxPox interview, I used Serif Movie +. This allowed me to cutout the bits which were not needed. Italso allowed me to write the question outand cut and paste all the answers to onequestion together. I was then able toupload my edited version of VoxPox ontoYoutube straight from this programme –Then embedded this onto my blog.

I also used this programme when editingpart of my music video (canal and parkscene) I found this programme was easierto use then Adobe Premiere to edit thesetwo particular scenes.

YoutubeAs mentioned on the pervious slide, Iused Youtube to upload my VoxPox offSerif Movie + and then embedded it ontomy blog. I also used YouTube to upload and storethe final production of my video, which Iexported from Adobe Premiere.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOPI used Adobe Photoshop to create amagazine advert and the covering of mymusic CD.

Adobe Photoshop allowed me to do manythings in terms of editing. I was able to:

- Cut around the picture using just thebit I needed.

- Edit the colours used.- Use effects (brushes, for example).- Download fonts giving me a variety

to chose from to best suit the genre andalbum name.

As I used Photoshop last year for my ASmedia coursework I found it less challengingto use.

ADOBE PREMIEREI used Adobe Premiere in order to fit the different scenes of my music videotogether.

I found this software was useful as itallowed me to have the song runningbelow. It also allowed us to use effectswhere necessary – for example a dissolvewhen it was needed to make it clear the scene was changing.

Cameras – Photographs and Filming

I used the SLR camera to take pictures forthe ancillary text (magazine advert and CD cover) and for the stop motion used inthe video for the canal and park scene. Ifound it useful to use the SLR camera forthe stop motion footage as the cameraallowed me to change the footage andtake many pictures at once. This capturedeach movement.

I used the camcorder to capture thefootage for the rest of my music video –bedroom scene. I found it was easy touse.
