LOWER MANTLE…….* The portion of the mantle below a depth of
about 600 miles (1000 kilometers). Also known as inner mantle; mesosphere; pallasite shell.
P-WAVES*Seismic wave that compresses and expands.
Primary wave that move back and forth moves fastest of all the waves and move through solids and liquids.
S-WAVES • A seismic wave that causes particles of rock
to move in a side to side direction.• Slower than P-waves moves through solids
only
