Description of technology

1.The technology of CWF making was developed. This technology includes coal grinding on the ball drum mill and cavitation treatment of obtained coal-water suspension, which provides fuel with the required physical and heat-engineering properties (humidity, viscosity, heat capacity, sedimentation stability); the equipment for its implementation was made. 2.The physical-mathematical model of flare-drip combustion of CWF in the vortex regime. 3.The original constructions of furnace chambers were developed on the basis of calculations by the model of CWF combustion. 4.The original efficient wear-resisting pneumatic sprayer was developed. The resource of its successful operation is more than 1000 hours.5.The cluster strategy of development of the distributed system of heat production on CWF at small industrial enterprises and in the system of housing and public utilities.

The effect of technology application

Reduction in production cost of 1 Gcal:at conversion of boilers from heavy oil to CWF - more than twice;at conversion of boilers from fuel-bed firing to CWF - up to 35%;

improvement of ecological situation: it allows reduction in harmful emissions to the atmosphere by the factor of 1.5-3.5 (dust, nitrogen oxides, etc.) it allows the use of different coal wastes for production of coal-water fuel – sludge, cake, etc.

rapid return of investment costs:from 1 to 2.5 heating seasons (depends on the boiler power, the scheme used before, etc.)

Technology of CWF (60 % of coal) production is based on application of the ball mill and generator of cavitation with addition of plasticizer. Coal content is 55 – 65%, size of coal particles is 60 – 70 (up to120) µm.

Three pilot boiler installations with the power of 1.5; 3; 7 MW were made.

More than 3 years are in operation.

Coal, anthracite and coal sludge were combusted.

The approval of the boiler plant for reconstruction is available.
