The state of tourism todayWhat is the first thing a person does when traveling to a new destination?
Nowadays, traveler's search what to do and which places to visit. Perhaps they
a friend who lives on their destination, but this isn't always possible.
Let's imagine now a tourist asking herself "what places can I visit in Madrid?”
the tourist will find thousands upon thousands of search results on the internet,
many brochures, guide books, and so on. It takes a lot of time and effort just
to sort through all that information, which can quickly become overwhelming
and frustrating.
Most of the time, this causes the tourist to miss many of the best experiences
the destination had to offer, solely because it just wasn't clear, it wasn't easy to
find, or it was buried under too much noise.

First Destination: LanzaroteEco is already deployed in Lanzarote, giving tips and recommendations to those who visit the Canary Islands
Lanzarote is the first tourist destination to enjoy SmartEcoMap™
in the SmartEcoTab form-factor, a tablet which has recently guided
its tourists with a wide range of recommendations and information
about this unique island, its places and activities.
In Lanzarote, the SmartEcoTab solution was set in place in order
to remove any technical limitations away from the experience and
allow users to enjoy a fully integrated device.
Eco learns more about the destination each day, allowing the
assistant to answer a broader range of questions with ever more
detailed information like schedules, prices, fun facts and more.
An example of a current area that will be improved is how
Eco would pick a beach for the user. Eco will take into
consideration weather factors like wind-speed and
direction and recommend the best spot.

tablet as part of the welcome package or room

We can work together with the hotel to include
information about the hotel, its facilities, services
and products. This aspect can be developed for
