Horses of the IS team expected in Berlin today Today, Monday July 29, the first horses are expected to arrive at the World Championships Location in Berlin Karlshorst - 14 horses coming directly from Iceland. The tribunes, stable tents, Catering and Shopping area are ready and wait for thousands of guests to arrive.

FEIF YouthCamp 2013 impressions From Monday to Sunday 40 horse enthusiasts youngsters gathered at Stall Kjersem on Kjersem Setra in Tresfjord. Time for the FEIF YouthCamp, where participants get both two-and four-legged friends for life. The pictures was taken on a ride that goes to the Blue Mountains (741 m above sea level). Bjorn Kjersem is a well-known man within the Icelandic environment both in Norway and abroad. And together with Stian Pedersen and Vestnes islandshestforening, he was the organizer of this year's FEIF YouthCamp. Today is the last day of a great FEIF YouthCamp 2013 in Norway - full of activities and action and with simple great summer weather. More pictures can be found on the YouthCamp Website.

Stable of the Year 2012 Ankis Stall in southern Finland received the spectacular award 'Stable of the Year 2012'. This is the first time ever that an Icelandic horse stable has been honored with this award in Finland. The Equestrian Federation of Finland motivated the award especially with Anki´s extraordinary work with children, youngsters and groups with special needs.

Sport Judge steps back Rune Svendsen, one of the international sport judges selected to be a Judge at the World Championships 2013 decided to step back as a Judge at the World Championships, as his wife, Steffi Svendsen with Jarl frá Miðkrika [IS1995184968], is member of the German team. Rune decided this to avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interest, even if he would not be allowed to judge the specific tests where his wife would compete. This (wise) decision is in line with the Fair Play section of the Code of Conduct in FIRO,

stating that all officials must be scrupulously careful to guard against any appearance or actuality of interest. In all questionable cases it is always wiser to acknowledge a possible source of a conflict and stand aside rather than permit suspicions to gain strength. As the number of judges is still sufficient, no other judge will be called on duty.
