Comminuted fracture

Fracture in which bone is splintered or curved .

Greenstick fracture

Fracture in which bone only partially broken.

The broken bone is not completely separated.

Compound Fracture

Fracture in which skin has been broken

Simple Fracture

Fracture in which there is no open wound

Impacted Fracture

fracture in which bone is pressed into self

Transverse Fracture

fracture line is straight across

Oblique Fracture

fracture line is at an angle.

Spiral Fracture

Fracture line curves around the bone
