The KNC has established itself over the past 43 years as one of the world’s most prestigious women’s sporting championships

“For us, it’s as big as the green jacket. Everybody wants to jump in that pond. It’s something that makes this event different. We all look upon the 18th green knowing this and wanting so desperately to jump in.” - Natalie Gulbis

“The Leap into Poppie’s Pond is THE most poignant moment in women’s golf” – Golf Digest

KNC provides access to LPGA stars past and

present

The KNC showcases the best field on the LPGA Tour annually:– The top 115 female professional

golfers travel to Palm Springs each year to compete for the honor of jumping in to Poppies Pond

Past champions remain heavily involved:

- Hall of Famer and 3-time KNC Champion, Annika Sorenstam hosts the Pro-Am competition and supports the event through media day participation, sponsor appearances and a youth clinic

- Additionally, 26 of the past 30 champions were in attendance last year to participate in the Champions Dinner and the KNC Legends Junior Challenge

KNC – Embraced by Hollywood

The KNC has a long tradition of celebrity involvement. Dinah Shore served as tournament host of the event from it’s founding in 1972 - 1994. Each year Dinah would invite her friends from Hollywood to attend and celebrate the event. Celebrity remains a big part of the KNC experience.

Starting in 2014, IMG intends to re-establish this legacy by adding an entertainment platform including a new celebrity event host. Currently, dialogue is underway with Ellen DeGeneres and several other high profile Hollywood entertainers.
