• Town of Red Oak had purchased 2 picnic shelters for $31,000.

• Lowest bid for construction was $30,000.

• Town could not afford construction cost. Shelters had been put on hold.

Saturday August 23rd cont.

Today we excavated footings, removed soil from the site, cleaned up the concrete pad and covered the openings.

We used a Bobcat with an auger, a Bobcat with a bucket for excavation, and hand tools . A trailer was used to remove dirt.

We ate Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch.

Today we erected the superstructure of beams and purlins utilizing the truck crane.

Saturday September 13th cont.

Today we used a 55’ truck crane, a 36’ scissor lift, 4 8’ step ladders, 4 sections of frame, a Baker scaffold, a 5,000 watt generator and hand tools.

Lunch was hot dogs, chips, drinks and cookies.

We completed installation of the decking on the picnic shelters today.

We used a 26’ scissor lift, 6 sections scaffolding, 4 8’ ladders, 1 5,000 watt generator, 2 power miters, 1 Skil Saw and hand tools.
