Objectives of our life – Why are we here?

Religion Distortion

How did the Jewish scribes distort the teachings of Judaism?

How did the Christians distort the teachings of Christianity?

How did the Muslims distort the teachings of Islam?

Introduction

Amos 8:11-12 teach that People will be thirsty for the true word of God but they will not find it anywhere

Psalm 56:5 teaches All day long they twist my words

Jeremiah 8:8 teaches the lying pen of the scribes has distorted the word of God

Jeremiah 5:30-31 teach that the priests have distorted the religion teachings and that the people love those distorted teachings

Jewish scholars teach that Jews are the chosen people of God

Christian Scholars teach that they are the predestined, the glorified, and the chosen before the creation of the world

Muslim Scholars teach that Jews are cursed, Christians are misguided, and that Muslims are the truly guided people

All those scholars are mistaken

Most of what the Jewish scholars teach is not the true teachings as taught by Moses

Page 2: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Most of what the Christian scholars teach is not the true teachings as taught by Jesus

Most of what the Muslim scholars teach is not the true teachings of Islam

People are confused by the contradicting teachings, they try to search the internet for the true word of God, but they cannot find it anywhere

Instead of the true teachings like

‘Do not have two differing measures’, ‘The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner’, ‘The foreigner must be treated as your native-born’, ‘You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born’

in Deuteronomy 25:13-16, Exodus 12:49, Leviticus 19:33-37, Leviticus 24:22, Numbers 15:15-16, Deuteronomy 24:14-15

The biased scribes have ignored those true teachings and inserted some additions to restrict justice to the ‘fellow Israelite’, ‘my people among you’, or ‘Hebrew men or women’

They do not teach the original teachings anymore; instead, they teach the manipulated teachings like

You may charge a foreigner interest, but not a fellow Israelite

in Deuteronomy 23:19-20, Exodus 22:25, Deuteronomy 15:1-2, Deuteronomy 15:12

Instead of the true teaching ‘You shall not murder’ In Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17

The bad scribes who glorify defeating their enemies ignored the true teaching and added some verses to justify the killing like Exodus 23:23, Deuteronomy 13:15, Numbers 31:16-18, Joshua 6:20-21, Judges 15:14-16 and Judges 16:30

Instead of the true and most reiterated teachings of ‘blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience’, they teach that God has chosen them regardless of their obedience as in the distorted teachings of Deuteronomy 9:5-6 and Deuteronomy 7:6

Page 3: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Instead of the true and harsh teachings of Jesus in Matthew 7:21-27, Luke 13:25-27, Matthew 22:35-40, Luke 10:25-28, Matthew 25:35-45, Mark 12:28-34, Mark 10:17-19, Matthew 19:16-19, Luke 18:18-20, Luke 6:46-48, John 14:15 and John 14:21 most Christian scholars teach the distorted and attractive teachings like Romans 8:30, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Ephesians 2:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:28, Galatians 2:16, Colossians 2:14 and Ephesians 1:4

The Muslim scholars who justify killing of innocent people are not true Muslims because they do not obey the Quran verses like 5:32, 4:90, 2:190, 8:61, 17:33, 25:68 and 6:151 which teach ‘You shall not kill - God has made life sacred’

The Muslim scholars who teach to kill the unbelievers are mistaken; verse 9:6 is enough proof for their mistakes, because Muslims are supposed to protect the unbelievers and they cannot protect them after killing them

The Muslims who justify killing of those who leave Islam are mistaken because they do not obey the Islamic teachings like Quran verses 2:256, 16:125 and 18:29 which teach Freedom of Religion

The Muslim scholars who justify the killing of the hostages are mistaken; verse 8:70 proves that the hostage are not to be killed, because Muslims are supposed to comfort the hostages and they cannot comfort them after killing them

The Muslim scholars who teach that Islam is the only true religion are mistaken; they have been ordered to believe in what has been revealed to Moses, Jesus and other Prophets as taught in Quran verse 3:84

The Muslim scholars who teach that the fate of people is determined before they are born and before they have any chance to do good or bad are mistaken; they ignore the Quran verses like 17:15, 45:15,43:72, 16:35, 19:63, 19:76, 20:112, 34:50, 37:39, 39:41, 39:70, 40:17, 47:17, 55:60, 56:24, 18:107 and 4:147; there is no punishment for those who choose to obey and to thank God.

Moses warned of the expected corruption and turning from the way he has commanded them, in Deuteronomy 31:27-29 he used strong words like

For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you have been rebellious against the LORD while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after I die!

Page 4: Thirsty for the truth book summary

And

For I know that after my death you are sure to become utterly corrupt and to turn from the way I have commanded you. In days to come, disaster will fall on you because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD and arouse his anger by what your hands have made

Jesus has warned the priests who spend more time in the houses of widows. In Matthew 23:14 he said

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive greater condemnation

In Matthew 7:15-20, Jesus warned of the false teachers who mislead people

Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves

The same teaching is also written in Luke 6:43-44

As Moses and Jesus warned of the false teachers who explain religion to their benefits, the prophet of Islam has also warned of those who ignore the true teachings and teach different teachings

I will say those people are from me. It will be said, 'You do not know what changes and new things they did after you.' Then I will say, 'Far removed (from mercy), far removed (from mercy), those who changed (the religion) after me!

That is recorded in Bukhari 7051 Book 92, Hadith 4 and in Volume 9, Book 88, Hadith 174

The prophet of Islam has warned of the bad Muslim scholars who order others to do good but they do not do good and who forbid others from evil while they do evilThat hadith is recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari 7098 - Book 92, Hadith 49

The prophet of Islam warned those who abandon the true teachings of Islam and who justify fighting and killings; he warned of that in many Hadiths like Bukhari 7070 - Book 92, Hadith 21 and 7077 - Book 92, Hadith 28 and 121 - Book 3, Hadith 63

In another Hadith, he described the bad Muslim scholars who justify killing as ‘worst people under the sky’. That is recorded in Mishkat al-Masabih 1/91 Hadith 276

The best advice is to follow the common ground of the clear and consistent teachings as taught by the prophets. That is the true one religion by the

Page 5: Thirsty for the truth book summary

prophets; same message revealed to the prophets by the same God must be consistent, clear and easy for all people regardless of their level of education or experience

The common ground of religion teachings include:

In obedience and repentance is your salvation, if you obey and do good deeds, you will be blessed, if you disobey you will be lost; that is the clear message. That message is the most reiterated message by Moses, confirmed by Jesus and by Islamic teachings

Instead of the true religion teachings which should unite all people under the same guidelines of obedience, repentance, forgiveness, good deeds and compassion; we find the distorted teachings which agitate hatred and the unnecessary endless wars and sectarian conflicts

We have the choice to be like the son who says that if the word of God includes so much cruelty and so many contradictions, then I do not need the word of such God

We also have the choice to be like the son who says we cannot teach the harsh teachings like ‘pluck out your eye’ or ‘woe to you’ or ‘freely you have received; freely give’, we should continue to teach attractive teachings because we need an income to survive

We also have choice to be like the son who says maybe the father is testing us; maybe some of my brothers have changed the message of the father to explain it to their benefits

We also have the choice to be like the son who says that he knows the true words of the wise father as he knows his own children, he will continue to identify the truth that hurts and he would happily accept any persecution from the majority which hate the truth; that is what the prophets did and that is what the prophets ordered us to do

Objectives of our life – Why are we here?

Our life on earth is only a primary testing period. We are not supposed to relax and enjoy ourselves during the test, we should not expect that the test questions are clearly known in advance, we should expect difficulties during the test, and we will be rewarded according to our faith, our obedience, our compassion, and our good deeds

Although the wise teacher knows the hard working students who will pass the exam and the careless students who will fail, he prepares regular exams as testimonies so that the students would not say that the teacher had favoured some students over the others. Exams also urge students to get prepared in order to succeed

The fair teacher promises the students that they will be able to validate the test results and they will confirm that the results are accurate and fair

Although God knows what’s in our hearts and what each of us might do, he tests us and wants us to witness our own test results to admit that we have been fairly rewarded according to our achievements as recorded in the test results

Objectives of life according to the teachings of Judaism

God tests you in this primary stage of life – testing period – Exodus 20:20 – Deuteronomy 8:2, Deuteronomy 13:3 to know who obeys and who does not obey

According to the teachings of Moses, people are tested and those who obey God will be blessed, while those who repel will be cursed

I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not (Exodus 16:4)

In Exodus 20:20, Moses taught that God tests people so that the fear of God will be with them to keep them from sinning

The same teaching is also found in Deuteronomy 13:3

God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul

In Deuteronomy 8:2-3, Moses taught that God tests people in order to know what is in their heart, whether or not they would keep his commands.

Page 7: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Deuteronomy 4:30 teaches that in tribulations, people would return to God and obey his voice

The teaching ‘if you come back to God after testing, He will accept you’ is also the objectives of testing as taught by Jesus in the parable of the rebellious son (Luke 15) when he was tested, then repented, he had been accepted

The same teachings are confirmed many times in the holy book

Job 23:10 teaches ‘when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold’

Job 5:7 teaches that we are here for testing

‘people are born for trouble as surely as sparks fly upward’

Job 5:17 teaches ‘Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of God’

PSALM 11:4-5 teaches He watches everyone closely; examining every person on earth.5 God examines both the righteous and the wicked

Psalm 66:10 teaches ‘For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined’

PROVERBS 17:3 teaches ‘The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but God tests the hearts’

ISAIAH 48:10 teaches ‘I have refined you, but not as silver is refined.    Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering’

Jeremiah 17:10 teaches that God tests us and will reward everyone according to his works

“I the Lord search the heart    and examine the mind,to reward each person according to their conduct,    according to what their deeds deserve.”

Objectives of life according to the teachings of Christianity

Jesus taught that all of this life is a test; he taught that we are in a temporary testing period and we are being prepared for a permanent life. He also taught that the rewards will be according to our obedience and our good works

Talking in parables, Jesus taught that God tests us by tribulation, temptation, trials, persecution and promised rewards in heaven for those who pass the tests of persecution, temptation, trials, and tribulations

Jesus has taught people to stand up for the truth even if persecuted by the bad multitudes who hate the truth. He taught that and also demonstrated it when he stood up for the truth against the bad chief priests who explained religion to their benefits

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven - Matthew 5:10

God has set the world stage for testing; every day we meet hungry and poor; some will help and some will refuse to help; those are not equally rewarded

Matthew 25:31-45 teach that when we refuse to help the hungry, the stranger, and the sick, we refuse to help God

“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

In Matthew 18:23-35 Jesus taught us to forgive in order that God forgives us; he mentioned that there are rewards for forgiveness and good works

There are much more scripture to confirm that the objective of this temporary stage of life on earth is testing and that our rewards in the eternal life depend on the results of that testing; examples are:

Page 9: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Jesus taught that there will be testing and some will fall away in time of temptation as written in Luke 8:13 and Mark 4:17

Those on the rocky soil are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no firm root; they believe for a while, and in time of temptation fall away.

Matthew 13:21 confirms the same message

But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away

Another parable of a testing period and the rewards is Matthew 25:21

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

John 18:36 is another example to show that life on earth is not the target destination

my kingdom is not in earth – but in heaven

That is not just for Jesus, but he taught that we should not have treasures on earth but to seek the real treasures; the eternal life in heaven

Luke 12:16-21 warn those who store up treasure for themselves, and are not rich toward God

John 12:25 warn those who love their life in this world

Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity. The same is also confirmed in Matthew 10:39

Similar teaching is mentioned in Luke 9:23

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me”.

The same is also mentioned in Mark 8:34

Page 10: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Matthew 13:44 teaches that people should do everything to win God’s rewards for the righteous, to win the kingdom of heaven

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field

For that objective, he taught that people should pay everything to buy the eternal life in heaven; he taught that we should sell our life in this world in order to get the eternal life in heaven

We have the choice to enjoy our life on earth and treasure money ignoring to feed the hungry or to sell this life and spend our money and efforts to help the hungry, the persecuted, and those who need help. The second choice was Jesus recommendation to win the eternal one; the kingdom of heaven

Jesus taught that testing and suffering help to return a person to his senses; Luke 15:17 teaches that the son came to his senses, after having undergone suffering

James has taught that testing is a chance for us to grow, develop patience, and mature in God

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces patience. Let patience finish its work so that you may be mature and complete

James 1:12 teaches that people will be tested by temptations and urges us to endure the temptations

Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him

Objectives of life according to the teachings of Islam

When we analyse the verses of Quran, we find that it is the same message revealed by the same God, we also find in Quran that life is a testing period and that people will be rewarded according to their obedience and according to their good deeds

Quran verse 47:31 clarifies that we are here for testing

And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of God] and the patient, and We will test your affairs

Page 11: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Verse 29:2-3 confirms that we are here for testing

Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?

But We have certainly tried those before them, and God will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.

Similar teachings are found in 67:2, 18:7 and 76:2

[He is] The One Who created death and life, so that He may put you to test, to find out which of you is best in deeds: He is the All-Mighty, the All-Forgiving

Indeed, We have made that which is on the earth adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed.

Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to the patient

5:48 and 6:165 teach that we are in a testing stage and we are supposed to compete in good deeds to pass the test and earn our salvation

If God wanted He could have made all of you a single nation. But He willed otherwise in order to test you in what He has given you; therefore try to compete in good deeds. Ultimately you all shall return to God; then He will show you the truth of those matters in which you dispute.

6:165 He is the One Who has made you the inheritors of the earth and raised some of you in ranks over others so that He may test you in what He has given you. Surely God is swift in retribution; yet He is also very Forgiving, Merciful.

5:71 teaches that those who ignore that the objectives of life is testing are blind and deaf

They thought there would be no trial (or punishment); so they became blind and deaf: yet God (in mercy) turned to them: yet again many of them became blind and deaf. But God sees well all that they do

3:179 teaches that God distinguishes the wicked from the good, people are not supposed to know everything to pass that test, but they are asked to follow the Prophets

Page 12: Thirsty for the truth book summary

God will not leave the believers in the state in which you are now, until He distinguishes the wicked from the good. Nor will God disclose to you the secrets of the unseen, but God chooses of His Messengers whom He pleases. So believe in God and His Messengers. And if you believe and fear God, then for you there is a great reward

When the religion teachers ignore that fact, they cannot provide logical answer to the most important people’s question ‘why am I here?’

People have the right to ask ‘Before you tell me what to do, tell me first why am I here and what are the objective of my life on earth? Why did God create me?’

If the Jewish scholars ignore that the objective of life is testing and teach that the Jews are the chosen people of God and they are promised the blessings because of the faith of their father Ibrahim, then people will reject such answers because the scripture teaches that God is not biased and that every person will be judged according to their deeds; not according to their fathers faith

If the Christian scholars ignore that the objective of life is a testing period and teach that the objective is to accept Jesus as a saviour because we are born sinners and we cannot earn our salvation by good works, people will refer to the teachings of Jesus himself who taught that life is for testing and that people can earn their salvation by obedience and by good works

If the Muslim scholars ignore that the objectives of life is a testing environment and teach that the objective of life is to worship God, people would reply that God does not need our prayers

When scientists and philosophers ignore the fact that our life on earth is only a primary testing and preparation period, they cannot provide logical answer to the most important question ‘why are we here?, why does God allow suffering?’

Religion Distortion

Amos 8:11-12 teaches that people will be thirsty for the true word of God but they will not find it anywhere

Page 13: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Jeremiah warned of the scribes who change the word of God

Jeremiah 8:8-13 “‘How can you say, “We are wise, for we have the law of the Lord,”

when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?

Since they have rejected the word of the Lord, what kind of wisdom do they have?

Jeremiah 6:13 warns the priests who are greedy for gain and who practice deceit

Jeremiah 5:30-31 A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land:

The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way

Jeremiah 23:16 warns of the false teachers who fill people with false hopes

They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord

Jeremiah 23:21 and 14:14 warn of the false teachers who claim that they receive God’s revelations

I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied

God had not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them, but they prophesied a false vision and the deceit of their heart

Ezekiel 13:6 also warns of the religion distortion

They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them

Psalms 62:4 - warns those who take delight in lies

Psalms 78:36-37 also warns of the religion distortion

But then they would flatter him with their mouths, lying to him with their tongues; their hearts were not loyal to him, they were not faithful to his covenant

Jude 16 - False teachers often walk according to their lusts, speaking smooth words, flattering people to gain advantage

Page 14: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Isaiah 30:9-11 warns those require interesting or attractive teachings instead of the harsh Prophet's teachings

That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of God: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us

Jeremiah 23:32

Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” declares the Lord. “They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least,” declares the Lord

Jeremiah 23:36

But you must not mention ‘a message from the Lord’ again, because each one’s word becomes their own message. So you distort the words of the living God

Jeremiah 29:9

For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the Lord

How did the Jewish scribes distort the teachings of Judaism?

Moses warned of the expected corruption and turning from the way he has commanded them

Deuteronomy 31:27-29

For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you have been rebellious against the Lord while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after I die!

For I know that after my death you are sure to become utterly corrupt and to turn from the way I have commanded you. In days to come, disaster will fall on you because you will do evil in the sight of the Lord and arouse his anger by what your hands have made.”

Page 15: Thirsty for the truth book summary

The true teachings are ‘Do not have two differing measures’, ‘The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner’, ‘The foreigner must be treated as your native-born’, ‘You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born’

Examples of the true teachings are in Deuteronomy 25:13-16, Ex 12:49, Leviticus 19:33-37, Leviticus 24:22, Numbers 15:15-16, Deuteronomy 24:14-15,

Deuteronomy 25:13-15

Do not have two differing weights in your bag—one heavy, one light. Do not have two differing measures in your house—one large, one small. You must have accurate and honest weights and measures

Exodus 12:49 The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner residing among you.”

Leviticus 19:33-37 When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt

Leviticus 24:22 You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born

Numbers 15:15-16 The community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come.

You and the foreigner shall be the same before the Lord:

The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you

The distorted teachings: the changed teachings include some additions to restrict justice to the ‘fellow Israelite’, ‘my people among you’, or ‘Hebrew men or women’

Examples of the additions of ‘fellow Israelite’, ‘my people among you’, ‘Hebrew men or women are in Deuteronomy 23:19-20, Exodus 22:25, Leviticus 25:35-46, Deuteronomy 15:1-2 , 15:7, 15:12

Page 16: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Deuteronomy 23:19-20

Do not charge a fellow Israelite interest, whether on money or food or anything else that may earn interest. You may charge a foreigner interest, but not a fellow Israelite

Exodus 22:25 If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not treat it like a business deal; charge no interest

In verse Exodus 22:25, the words "my people" are added to limit the justice to the Israelites only

Deuteronomy 15:1-2 At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts. This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel any loan they have made to a fellow Israelite

In verse Deuteronomy 15:1-2, the words "fellow Israelite" are added to limit the justice to the Israelites only

Deuteronomy 15:12 If any of your people—Hebrew men or women—sell themselves to you and serve you six years, in the seventh year you must let them go free

In Deuteronomy 15:12, In verse Deuteronomy 15:1-2, the words " your people—Hebrew men or women" are added to limit the justice to the Israelites only

Other examples of the religion distortion is to add what they like and teach it as the word of God; Jewish scribes liked to be served by widows, so they made it through the word of God as in 1 Kings 17:8-24, 2 KINGS 4:8-37, 1 Samuel 25

1 Kings 17:8-24 explain religion to the benefits of the priests. It teaches that the widow should serve ‘the man of God’ before feeding her child; if she does, she will be blessed and her child will be saved

2 KINGS 4:8-37 is also another explanation of religion to the benefits of the priests; it teaches that the wealthy women should serve the priests; if they do, their families will be blessed and their children will be restored to life

Page 17: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Chapter 1 Samuel 25 explains religion to the benefits of the priests? It teaches that wives of the wealthy men should generously donate to the ‘holy people of God’, and the wealthy husband should be cursed to death if he rejects to share his wealth? It also teaches that the wise wife should accept to be a wife to the ‘holey person of God’ after her husband is cursed to death

Jesus has warned the priests of such bad teachings and of spending much time in the houses of widows. In Matthew 23:14 he said:

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive greater condemnation

In Mark 12:40 and Luke 20:47 he said "They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”

In Luke 11:52 he said “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to”

Judges 19 is not the inspired word of God, but cursing other tribes in the name of God

Descendants of levities wanted the bible to be an eternal witness on the corruption of Benjamin. They wanted to curse the tribe of Benjamin so that the curse will be verses of the Holy Scripture forever. Anyone who reads Judges 19 should recognize that the story is made up to suit the purpose of the bad levities scribes

2 Kings 2:23-24 are additions to the benefits of the religion teachers; the message is that anyone who makes fun of the ‘holy people of God’ will be punished to death by God

2 Kings 13:21 is an addition to glorify Elisha

Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet

Genesis 32:24-30 is also an addition by Jacob’s descendants to glorify Jacob and claim that he wrestled with God and was saved

Page 18: Thirsty for the truth book summary

The verses teach that Jacob was able to wrestle with God; he said to God

"I will not let you go unless you bless me”

Although the true teachings of Deuteronomy 10:17 teach that God does not favour ‘who shows no partiality’

The descendants of Jacob wanted to glorify him in the name of God; they added the distorted teaching of Genesis 25:23

“Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated;one people will be stronger than the other,  and the older will serve the younger.”

“Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated” is also added in Malachi 1:2-3

They wanted to say that it is the will of God to choose them regardless of any condition like good work and true faith. That distorted teaching is against the true teachings of Moses that God chooses the righteous who obey and curse the wicked as the core and the most reiterated teachings of the old testimony

The same mistake is also committed by the Christian scholars who teach the wrong doctrine of unconditional election and by the Muslim scholars who teach that some Muslims are predestined to heaven before they are born and before they have any chance to do good or bad deeds

Another example of the religion distortion is Genesis 9:25-27

he said, “Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.” He also said, “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem!

May Canaan be the slave of Shem. May God extend Japheth’s territory;

may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”

That is not the word of the God but added by the descendants of Japheth and Shem to curse the tribes of Canaan in the name of God. They practiced their evil habits in the name of God

This cannot be the inspired word of God because God does not curse the son Canaan for a mistake of the father Ham. Whenever the competing tribes try to curse each other; they add verses to show that the curse is by God. The true word of God teaches that the sons are not to be punished for the mistakes of fathers as written in the true verse of Deuteronomy 24:16

"Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin"

Page 19: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Another example of the distorted religion teachings is written in Genesis 19:30-38 to curse the tribes of Moabites and Ammonites in the name of God

How did the Christians distort the teachings of Christianity?

As Moses warned against the expected corruption and turning from the way he has commanded in Deuteronomy 31:27- 29, Jesus also warned against those who claim to have prophesied and performed miracles in his name in Matthew 7:21-23, and Luke 13:25-27

Some examples of the distorted teachings are the attractive teachings like 1 Corinthians 15:51, Romans 8:30, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:28, Galatians 2:16, Colossians 2:14, Ephesians 2: 8-10

1 Corinthians 15:51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!

Romans 8:30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 - For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation

Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast

Romans 3:28

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law

Galatians 2:16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by

Page 20: Thirsty for the truth book summary

faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified

Colossians 2:14 He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross

Those attractive promises are not consistent with the main teachings taught by Moses, Jesus, Prophets, and the Disciples

The promises of the received salvation by faith cannot be validated because the test is not over and the result is not yet published. Those are only promises for salvation which cannot be proved; like the promises of 1 Corinthians 15:51 ‘you will not die but will be transformed during the rapture’, the people who received those promises two thousand years ago are now dead; the promises which were accepted as facts before are proved to be wrong. Since some promises have been proved to be wrong, the other promises like ‘you have been saved’, ‘you received salvation’ are not expected to be true because similar attractive promises have not been fulfilled

People should not believe in salvation by faith alone when the only occurrence of ‘faith alone’ in the Bible (James 2:24) says that salvation is not by faith alone. That verse by James confirms the core Prophet's teachings

Jesus did not teach that salvation is granted to those who merely accept him without actually doing the good works of the law as taught in Matthew 7:21-27 and in Luke 13:25-27

Salvation is not based solely on belief and nothing else; but by the good works which prove the good faith as taught by Jesus in Matthew 25:35-45

‘when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me’ Matthew 25:45

Jesus taught that the people who would be saved must be as little children - those who lived their lives in innocence; he did not teach that the children are born sinners (Matthew 18:4-5; 19:14; Mark 9:36-37; 10:14-15; Luke 18:15-17)

Page 21: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Jesus have confirmed the law commandments mentioned in Deuteronomy 6:5, Leviticus 19:18, and in other Torah verses

Matthew 5:18-19:

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one dot shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven

Since heaven and earth have not passed away, people should continue to obey and teach the law

The true teachings by Jesus and the prophets are conditional, if you obey and do good works, you will be saved

Instead of the true ‘conditional’ teachings, many unconditional teachings and promises have been offered in order to make people feel happy by the promises of free and unconditional salvation in order to reap the financial gifts in return of the salvation promises

How did the Muslims distort the teachings of Islam

Many Muslim scholars teach that the Jews are cursed and the Christians have been misguided and that the Muslims are the truly guided people; that is not according to the true teachings of Quran verses; it is not the correct explanation of verse 1:7 of Quran.

The correct explanation is asking God to guide us to the straightway; the way of the blessed obedient not the way of those who disobey the prophets.

Many Muslim scholars want to say that God does not like the Jews and the Christians; but the true and fair explanation is that God does not like the Jews who disobey the teachings of Moses, and does not like the Christians who disobey the teachings of Jesus and also does not like the Muslims who disobey the teachings of Islam

Page 22: Thirsty for the truth book summary

The prophet of Islam has warned of the bad Muslim scholars who order others to do good but they do not do good and who forbid others from evil while they do evil

That hadith is recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari 7098 - Book 92, Hadith 49

The prophet of Islam warned those who abandon the true teachings of Islam and who justify fighting and killings; he warned of that in many Hadiths like Bukhari 7070 - Book 92, Hadith 21 and 7077 - Book 92, Hadith 28 and 121 - Book 3, Hadith 63

In another Hadith, he described the bad Muslim scholars who justify killing as ‘worst people under the sky’. That is recorded in Mishkat al-Masabih 1/91 Hadith 276

Although the true Islamic teachings like Verse 5:32 of Quran forbids killing and teaches that whoever kills a soul it is as if he had slain mankind entirely, many bad Muslim scholars abandon the true teachings and justify the killings. Verse 25:30 of Quran warns of those who abandon the teachings of Islam

Many Muslim scholars teach that Prophet’s intercession will save the Muslims who do not do good deeds; that is not according to the true teachings of Quran verses

Many Muslim scholars teach that God has predestined some people to heaven even before they are born and regardless of any good or bad deeds they do; that is not according to the true teachings of Quran verses

The true teachings of the Quran verses like 7:96,17:15,30:44-45,34:25-26, 41:46,43:72,45:15,45:20-31 and 46:13 prove that those scholars are mistaken

Many Muslim scholars teach that God has predestined the sins to be committed by each person; that is not according to the true teachings of Quran verses

Many Muslim scholars like to explain some verses to blame the Jews and the Christians; some examples are Quran verses 6:20 and 2:146

Page 23: Thirsty for the truth book summary

Many Muslim scholars like to explain those verses as those who have been given the Torah and the Bible deny the Prophet of Islam although they know him as they know their children

Those Muslim scholars who like the above explanation ignore the following true explanation:

Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons

The pronoun in the verses should refer to the scripture; not to the Prophet because that is the correct use of the pronoun as shown in other verses like 2:121

Many Muslim scholars want to claim that the Prophet of Islam knows the unknown and whatever he said must be the true word of God; the truth is what is said by the Prophet himself and what was written in Quran verses 6:50, 7:188, 9:43, 17:85 and the Hadith in Bukhari 2680 and in Muslim 5830.

Those Muslim scholars must know the verses and the Hadiths. The Prophet mentioned that he does not know the unknown and sometimes he accepted the recommendations of other people and changed what he planned to do according to the advices of others

Many Muslim scholars refer to verses 23:52 and 21:92 as related to the nation of Islam and they urge Muslims to be united as one nation, but the context before the verses is related to the nation of all prophets as one nation; the verses 23:23-51 are related to prophets like Noah, Moses and Jesus and verse 23:52 is addressed to those prophets ‘your religion, is one religion’

Also chapter 21 is related to the prophets and the title of that chapter is ‘the prophets’ as verses 21:48-91 are related to the prophets like Moses, Abraham, Lot, Isaac, Jacob, Noah, David, Solomon, Job and also Jesus; verse 21:92 is the message to those prophets ‘your religion, is one religion’

The same message is confirmed in Quran 42:13 which is a call to establish the same one religion which has been revealed to the prophets and not to be divided. That call does not advise Muslims to establish the religion of Islam and ignore what have been revealed to the prophets, the call teaches that the religion to be established is what has been revealed to those prophets

Page 24: Thirsty for the truth book summary

That is also confirmed in Verse 2:136; God knows that some Muslims claim to be the truly guided nation and that the religion of Islam is the best religion and that the prophet of Islam is the best prophet. God does not accept such exaggerations and prompts them about what they are supposed to say

Say: "We believe in God and that which is revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants, and that which was given to Moses, Jesus, and other Prophets from God. We do not discriminate any of them, and to God we have surrendered ourselves

That is also what the prophet of Islam taught in Hadith Bukhari 652 when he mentioned that the Prophets are brothers, their religion is one religion

The true message to be explained is not to unite the Muslim as one distinguished nation, but the verses teach that the followers of prophets have divided their one religion (verse 21:93) and to teach that the followers of the prophets who truly believe and do good deeds will be rewarded (verse 21:94)

Such verses prove the mistakes of the Muslims who claim that they are the truly guided nation and that Jews are cursed and Christians are misguided

The Muslim scholars who justify killing the hostages are mistaken; verse 8:70 proves that the hostage are not to be killed, because Muslims are supposed to comfort the hostages and they cannot comfort them after killing them

‘say to whoever is in your hands of the captives, "If God knows [any] good in your hearts, He will give you [something] better than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you; and God is Forgiving and Merciful’

The Muslim scholars who justify killing the unbelievers are mistaken; verse 9:6 is enough proof that the unbelievers are not to be killed, because Muslims are supposed to protect the unbelievers and they cannot protect them after killing them

‘And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of God. Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know’

Page 25: Thirsty for the truth book summary

The Muslims who are not righteous and fair toward others are not true Muslims because they do not obey the Islamic teachings like 60:8 which teaches

‘God does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, God loves those who act justly’

The Muslims who oppose peace with others are not true Muslims because they do not obey the Islamic teachings like 8:61 and 4:90 which teach

‘If they resort to peace, so shall you’ and ‘if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then GOD gives you no excuse to fight them’

The Muslims who justify killing of innocent people are not true Muslims because they do not obey the Islamic teachings like 17:33, 25:68 and 6:151 which teach ‘You shall not kill - God has made life sacred’

The Muslims who justify killing of disbelievers are not true Muslims because they do not obey the Islamic teaching 2:256 which teach that

‘There shall be no compulsion in religion’

The Muslims who justify killing of those who decide to leave Islam are not true Muslims because they do not obey the Islamic teaching 18:29 which teaches Freedom of Religion

‘then whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve’

People are free to choose their faith and only God can question them about their choice

The Muslims who try to spread God's Message by unwise means are not true Muslims because they do not obey the Islamic teaching 16:125 which teach

‘You shall invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and kind enlightenment, and debate with them in the best possible manner’

The Muslim scholars who teach that the prophet of Islam is better than other prophets and that he knows the unknown are mistaken; they have been asked not to make any distinction between the

Page 26: Thirsty for the truth book summary

prophets. They should follow Quran verse 46:9 which teaches teach that prophet of Islam was not superior to other messengers

Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."46:9

The Muslim scholars who teach that Islam is the only true religion are mistaken; they have been asked to believe in what has been revealed to Moses, Jesus and other Prophets as taught in 3:84

The Muslim scholars who teach that the good deeds of the Jews and Christians are not accepted are mistaken. Verses 3:113-115 teach that there are Jews and Christians who follow Moses and Jesus and that those will be rewarded for their obedience and for their good deeds

The Muslim scholars who teach that some Muslims will not be punished for their sins are mistaken; the prophet urged all Muslims to obey; verse 4:123 teaches ‘Whoever does a wrong will be recompensed for it’

The Muslim scholars who teach that God predestines some for punishment and some for good rewards are mistaken; verse 4:147 teach that there is no punishment for those who choose to obey and to thank God
