Acts 16:25-30 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Eleven Things that are Essential for Salvation

1. Grace (Eph. 2:8; Tit. 2:11)

2. Blood (Heb. 9:22; I Pet. 1:18-19; Heb. 5:9)

3. Gospel (Rom. 1:16; I Cor. 15:1-2)

4. Faith (Jn. 8:24; Heb. 11:6; I Pet. 1:9)

5. Repentance (Lk. 13:3; Acts 17:30; II Cor. 7:10)

6. Confession (Mt. 10:32-33; Rom. 10:9-10)

7. Baptism (Mk. 16:16; I Pet. 3:21)

8. Obedience (Heb. 5:8-9; Jas. 2:24)

9. Love (Gal. 5:6; I Cor. 13:2)

10. Church (Acts 2:47; Eph. 1:23; Eph. 5:23)

11. Faithfulness (Mt. 24:13; Rev. 2:10)

Not only are these Essential but none are Exclusive

1. Grace – makes salvation possible

2. Blood – pays salvation’s price (I Cor. 6:20)

3. Gospel – Facts, Commands, and Promises

4. Faith – changes the mind

5. Repentance – changes the life

6. Confession – makes it known to all

7. Baptism – changes the state (Gal. 3:27)

8. Obedience – difference… living or dead faith (Jas. 2:26)

9. Love – underlying motive (I Cor. 5:14-15)

10. Church – only body which the saved added (Acts 2:47)

11. Faithfulness – perseverance with hope (I Jn. 3:3)
